Power steering mount issues

Post by billy »

Loud noise from the steering yesterday
One of the bolts on the box let go.
Trying to figure out how to beef it up but there is VERY little room to work with.
The frame flexes as well
An incredible amount of stress right there

I'm wondering about the set up you have used? Why is there a weak area if the proper components have been installed properly? We can likely help, we have installed our own power steering system on many M37's, never the first problem. A picture or two would offer a much better explanation and would likely speak volumes towards being able to offer a solution.

I had a bolt to bracket break once, but it was due to the bolt working loose, so I installed a longer bolt, added loc-tite and a jam nut to keep it tight.
