cab top tiedowns

Post by 06boblee »

Does anyone have tiedowns at the corner of their cab? There is a spot for one, but mine was never drilled for them. Is this normal?

Bob,
Mine has them and the cab is from 12/51. Maybe they were deleted in an attempt to cut cost???

Early trucks had them in every recess. My 53 only had 5. I put the other 4 on to make the top more evenly secured.

Mine has 5 also, but I see only 2 more spaces for them--you mentioned 4 more?

I too, had to add extras so the top would look properly tied down with a loop between every eyelet.

Divide the space on the cab back. Two in the recesses and two on the flat panel. They line up between the grommets on the canvas top.
