Will a M274 Mule fit in the bed of an M37?

Post by ashyers »

I have seen a M274 loaded in an M101A1 trailer and it fit reasonably well and took about 5 minutes to load. Has anyone has ever fit one in the bed of an M37?

Well, it is 50" wide and 118" long (the mule, not the jackass!)

Will,
Would you happen to know the wheelbase and track of the Polaris?

Do you have a photo of the setup you devised under the front wheels?

It looks like a Mule may just fit. This could get me in trouble...

Thanks,
Andy

My Stock RZR was 50" wide, and with the Baja Bumpers it's 116" long.

Since I have a tool box in the front of the M37, I modified a Steel 4-Wheeler Rack to go from bed side to bed side, and then other half in making two short ramps to go from then end of the bed up to the cross rack.

Will,
That's super nice!

Now I just have to start rationalizing why I can use something even slower and less practical than the M37. This all started when the Wood Shop instructor suggested a golf cart would be useful, maybe I can blame him! Of course I could look for a Halflinger and then I could drive it :).

Andy

ps. The wheelbase on the Mule is 57" which I'm guessing as less than your Polaris.

Gary,
I didn't score a Mule, but I'm always looking for a good project. I've developed a soft spot for them and we could use it around the Shops. I'll be keeping my eyes open :).
