Pulled the trigger on these.
They are my favorite kind necause i can switch em with mittens.
Period correct too.

Well fer cryin out loud.
No wonder my ambulance is always right on the edge electrically.
My alternator only puts out 66amps

Got the rubber cowl/windshield gasket.
It doesn't seem wide enough to completely fill the gap from front to back
It looks like it will do a dandy job sealing out water though and it will look good on the outside.
I am going to use some black permatex to be absolutely sure its watertight.
Beats duct tape!
I also found some satin paint in a color called hunting lodge green i like a lot

I finally remembered to write down the milage when i gassed up just now.
I know i get crap mpgs
But soon i will know for sure.
I still dont think this engine is tuned right.
When it warms up a bit i have a timing tape to install

I used the gaskets from two pickle buckets and the black permatex. Checking your mileage?

found a write up on how to wire the alternator.
I get confused easily with electrical stuff and will try my best
Going to swap pulleys this morning and call the parts store to see if they have the plug in yet

Its a 4 wire receptacle but i only use 2 or 3 of those 4.

I dont wanna jinx myself
But i think the ambulance might be mechanically done.
I will keep taking it on short trips and if nothing pops up
I will completely trust it to go anywhere.
If so
Now comes the fun part
Painting and tidying up the interior.
Restoring all the cool plates on the dash
New steering wheel etc.
I LOVE this part of a build
