It's been a long time since I cruised this forum. Monkeyman, Thanks for keeping this dream alive.
I'll be back when I get some time to spare just to catch up. Good to be back.
You need to thank Robi for the Dream preservation, I am just the Monkey lurking in the background. It'll be good to catch up when you get the time.....

I'm curious about Charlie as well, and PoW/Dennis G. I miss reading about the 3-53N M37!
I've been around since the M37 Netzine days under the same handle.

At least the guys are ok, dosen't matter where they are posting so long as they are still topside. Invite the guys back if you see them about, the more the merrier on this forum, the wealth of experience is invaluable and some of the most genuine folks I have ever met have all been from Bigelectric and G741.org. I still consider being a moderator on the forum more of a privelege than a job.

I too have been around since the Big Electric days, and still have my '54.
Seems that there is a never ending list of things to do to it! I still have a four wheel set of disc brakes from Helitool to get put on. Anyone heard from Ray? I guess he is still in Thailand!
I have removed the 440 from the truck (5 mpg is no fun these days) and am going to install a 5.7 Hemi with a 5 speed overdrive auto this summer. My kids are all grown up now, so I do the work by myself mostly, makes for a bit slower pace.

I for one would like to say that this growing old stuff is for the birds!!

Of course we missed you Bruce, now if you'd just stop moving long enough for us to get the crosshairs lined up..... :P
How's things, how's the truck and more importantly, how's the family??

I remember the Big "E" board days....i was just getting started tearing down my first M37. I had a ton of questions and lots of "older" hands on here kept me on the path. Now with 3 complete teardown and restores on three M37s and one under way on my WC52 i'm wondering what was in that "green" tea i drank.

Anyone remember the fellow we donated money for to finish his project before he died? Just wondering what ever came of that family. I Know Bill L & Bill W helped a ton with the labor.

Any way ..hope everyone has a very HAPPY NEW YEAR>>>

Hey Keith,
That was a whirlwind work/paint & wiring job. Another big e guy hauled a lot of parts to Bill L's place, I think he might have been in on the delivery of it. I think Bill L still has the foto's on his webshots page?
Nice to see your handle here, stick around a while!

Hey Folks!! I too have been away for a while but am back!! We had the 1952 M-37 out for a drive yesterday to discover we have a weak fuel pump! Made it home but it was touch and go for a spell!! Someone had installed a cheap generic electric pump and I will replace it with a top of the line model soon as the NAPA store opens monday morning!! Good to be back!! Trucker-Tim!

Happy New Year Bruce,

I have been lurking in the back ground on this and several other boards , but find that the "search" button keeps my stupid questions to a minimum. I've got a son who has been to Iraq three times and just deployed in Dec to Aftghanistan for a year. He has been in some very bad places doing things i don't think are good for his health. Working on these projects helps to keep my mind busy and makes his time away seem shorter. This is "green therapy" at it's best.
