Got David Doyle's book set on "U.S. Dodge military trucks 1940-1975. Great set of history and photos. My free time has been spent looking and reading as it has been to cold to work on the M. -20F. the other day and more on the way.

Looks like a M-Truck that was left behind when the US Air Force pulled out of France in 1967. Wonder what the manufacturing date is? Check for any data plates on the Right Side, Glove Box Door.

I have had good luck with Mobil worm gear oil 600xp460. I bought it from Grainger. Use this oil in both the Steering box and wintch.

You will find the listing for #2990-040-1953 listed in the TM 9-2320-212-20P, page 37, Fig #13. 20 P book is dated 28/March/1972. Note usable on Code as to what truck the part is used on.

GREAT IDEA! I can not do the Durango trip this summer but could plan for it next year. Send some pics when you make the run. Maybe with a trip target date some of the other members might make a plan also.

Charles- Thanks for the info. I did not know that the original bolts were ungraded. I expected the bolts to be made to contract Mil specifications. I will now review my placement of these old bolts on the truck. I will restrict the use of the old bolts to only "show non-loading areas". Don
