Re: Bumper lettering and stenciling
Looking at the truck from the front from left to right (Passengers side to drivers side) 7A 31MG on the left and 7 EVAC on the right. One variation might be 31 MED instead of 31MG. Or depending on how the unit was it could be 31 MED 7 EVAC on left and HHQ or HQ on the right. If your Hospital was bro...

Re: M37B3 Project
Thanks Rob, that does help. To be honest I with the M37s frame didn't close in on the front like it does and was straight front to back. I could use a little more room up front. LOL. I'm not an engineer, but I do play one in the garage.

Re: M37B3 Project
Wood is cheaper, I have a lot of it from many other honey due projects, and I can get the exact size. Where as PVC is either bigger or smaller. Exhaust pipe is measured in OD and PVC pipe is measured in ID.

Re: M37B3 Project
Hey Gary, On a stock 6.5l GM diesel the exhaust is 3 inch so I was going to go to 4 inch which is a standard mod on a chevy or gmc truck, but 4 inch just wont fit on a m37. So, I think 3 inch will work fine. The problem is working around the limited room to fit the exhaust on the truck. My first att...

Re: M37B3 Project
Spring is on it's way so hopefully I will be able to get back into the garage and get more done on the truck! One thing I'm struggling with is how to run the down pipe for the turbo. I thought of going up the side of the cowl ala M35A2 style, but I'm not a big fan of that and IMHO it takes away the ...

Re: M37 arctic cab window frame
On my top the window is shot...(literally someone shot at it) and rusted beyond repair. I'm wondering if a modern truck cab or camper top/work top could be used and if so does anyone know a specific model that can be purchased for replacement?

Re: M37B3 Project
Okay.... Well I finally got some time to sit down and play with photos and putting the blog/web site up dated. I took five pages and have gotten them down to two pages so far. If you want to read from the beginning back in 2008 then you need to go to http://leathernaturally.com/m37project/ . But if ...

Re: M37B3 Project
This project is the perfect example of 3 steps forward 2 steps back. Of course I'm having to engineer everything because well there never was a M37B3 model with a 6.5l turbo diesel with a 700R4 transmission, New Process 208 transfer case, Dana 44F HD and Dana 60 rear with 4:10 gears. If I've made so...

Re: Anyone drive the 2019 MVPA Convoy in a M37?
I did not drive it, but I am 85% sure that there were both M37s and WCs in the convoy. The main thing is that the convoys don't go fast and don't travel the interstates and take many breaks or stops so that you can let the machine rest and stretch your legs. Plus there are recovery teams and tons of...

Re: WTB: M37 front wiring harness rear and spiderweb to
It's now just called Vintage Wiring and I think is in Alabama as it was sold a year or two ago. But yes, get your check book out as I contacted them about 4 years ago and was quoted $1050 for one modified with turn signals and to run a diesel and 60 Amp alternator.

Re: Can anyone ID the devices on the grill of this truck?
Speakers or a Siren maybe? Here is what TRUST was per Wikipedia. Since the truck is marked TRUST 351-I I just googled that and found this. "The 351st Infantry was relieved from assignment to the division on 1 May 1947 and served as temporary military Government of the Free Territory of Trieste,...

Re: Antenna Base ID
It holds an AB-15 antenna base. I had one one my M151. It fit the rear corner very nicely. Would need some modification to work on the M37 as stated above.

Re: M37B3 Project
Well, have been tinkering with the project and found that the HMMWV alternator bracket puts the alternator into the fender...like the inner edge of the fender goes right through the middle of the alternator. So I'm engineering a new alternator bracket and also making it so that the power steering pu...

Re: Thinking about a 6x6 conversion
I'm just guessing here, but I would think that you should be able to take the back half of the WC frame and weld it right onto the M56 frame. The frames I think are just about the same width etc. The only trick to welding a frame together is making sure it is square (measure three times weld once) a...
