Re: M37/M43 Parts
Are the windshield frames the inner ones? Mine are rusting and cracking the windshield glass. How much for them?

Re: 230 oil pumps
That is Melling's part number for that pump, I think it's an unfortunate coincidence that the number is M37, but they aren't saying it is for the T245 used in the M37.

Re: Sudden Loss of Brakes - No Slick
I had the same problem, I would have great pedal after adjusting and bleeding the brakes, then lose pedal after sitting for awhile. I have a dual master cylinder and replaced it once, still had the problem. Finally I replaced all the wheel cylinders, even though I didn't see fluid leaking, and haven...

Inter-service and unit rivalries have always been a part of the armed forces, but they show our pride in serving our country. Lets not get so PC that we are offended and can't laugh about our youthful follies. We were all serving our nation in our own capacity.

Re: Stuck service brakes
When the brakes are stuck, loosen the master cylinder mounting bolts some and see if the brakes release, if they do, may be needing to adjust the pushrod length so there's a little more clearance. Joe

Re: new owner introduction
Welcome to the forum! I converted my truck to 12V because the old wiring was shot and expensive to replace, and for the simplicity of a 12V Delco alternator and civilian distributor. Everything on the 24V system is so cumbersome and hard to check without proper tools, with the way mine is set up abo...

I wouldn't be afraid to use that spindle, such a small area shouldn't affect the strength of the spindle. The bearing does fit snug on it doesn't it?

NamVet,
It's always an anxious moment starting a newly rebuilt engine, but so rewarding when they run like they're new again. It never gets old.

Re: Ammeter vs Voltmeter
With an ammeter you can see how much, how many amps, the generator is charging, and a volt meter shows that it is charging by the volts being higher than battery voltage when running. Both are acceptable, but the ammeter is more precise IMHO.
