Re: 1952 M37 CDN Restoration
Consider putting your truck into the Registry on this site. Its a way to preserve the information about these individual trucks even if they change owners and disappear from our view here. Pics on the album go back some years and are interesting to look from time to time. Offer for the RCEME Repair ...

Re: 1952 M37 CDN Restoration
The dimensions of the plate and the lower rod were posted somewhere here. Search will get that thread if you want to fab your own. Tom @ Snake River 4x4 has the plates and rod available. He has the original design top plate and another checker plate that is handy to stand on while working on the eng...

Re: 1952 M37 CDN Restoration
Warren, Welcome to this site. There are a few more of us on the Island that get on here from time to time. If you've been in contact with RMS, then you have a good local resource person with lots of parts... When you get time, look for the CAR / CFR # on the front drivers side frame horn, just ahead...

Re: 9.00 x 16 Tubes What replacements are available ?
When I got my tires from Chris, the flaps and tubes were taped inside the tire and the tape had Chinese writing on it. I think that the factory provides these as part of the deal. This was a one off order of a container of 400 tires and I don't know how many are left now. I'm happy with mine for the...

Re: Steel Worm Gear for the Braden LU-4?
Bronze has been pretty much the standard for this type of application for many years. Most if not all of the Braden, Tulsa and similar winches have bronze gears. WInches, and rotator gears for manlifts and similar equipment are bronze. I have collected many sets of gear and worm from rebuilds that c...

Re: M37 for sale on seattle craigslist, not mine
That's a pretty good price, a lot more realistic than some seen for sale. Lots of interesting extras and from what I can see in the pictures, reasonably sound. Makes a couple of mine look like scrap by comparison...

Re: Rust prevention inside rims
I did all my rims a couple of years ago, in prep for new tires. After an inspection, they were sand blasted, and then epoxy primed. Before having the new tires mounted, I had the whole rim and lock ring painted with a urethane paint. I thing the zinc enriched paints available would work well over a ...

Re: Differences in the NP200 vs NP201?
I can't answer for sure but I thought the 201 had a pto port on it. Contact DC Trucks, as he will know and does carry parts for most of our stuff.

I saw some where that Wallace Wade was closing down. An auction site was selling off their stuff. Can anyone confirm this??

Re: Timing Marks on 251
John, I have the manual at home but I'm at the cabin until next Tuesday. Most of the CDN differences are in the engine, transmission & pto if equipped with a winch. The rest is pretty much the same and the CND Repair Manual is largely a copy of the US TMs. Let me know if I can scan any particula...

Re: Timing Marks on 251
That should be correct. I don't have my manual here in front of me but if you do have a copy of the RCEME Repair Manual it should show you. RMS is the local expert out here and he will chime in once he reads your post. Update your location and post a picture of your truck. Knowing where you are will...

Re: Do the doors have drains?
I had a quick look at my truck and you should be able to find at least one drain about 6" from the rear edge of the door, right up against the skin. Its rectangular, about 3/4 x 1/4". There may be one up front, but on this one there is rubber weather stripping glued on that may be covering...

Re: Wanted - R2 Crash Truck Grappling Hook
I'd look a the marine 'used' stuff on the various sites. Its a common type used around here and if I see something I'll give you a heads up. Wouldn't have had a USAF life but they probably sourced them from what was available anyway. I don't know what shipping would be from say, Seattle, to your loc...

Re: Disc brakes on the front first?
Ray still has some kits available, but they are the last. He has just posted over on Dodgepowerwagon.com regarding what he has left. Your other option is to source your kit from Charles Talbert at MSeries Rebuild. Charles has posted about availability on this forum. Both kits do require some welding...
