Funny thing happened at a local show
I have a habit of going places with my steel pot. I encourage parents to let their children sit in the truck with the pot on for a picture. The parents love it and it usually is the only vehicle at a show they can touch. Yesterday I even had the big kids looking to have their photo taken. http://cra...

Re: Another Titling Question - Model Number?
As was stated, all states are different. My M37B1 is registered as a 67 Dodge pick up. No title on pre 74? vehicles. Now I first tried at DMV for a regular reggy and plate. Well it's over 5500 pounds and it would have to be a commercial registration and cost about $80 a year. I switch gears and did ...

Re: distibutor 180 out.
We have all given Gerry good advice, but he still is unsure due to the amount of posts. Lets see if I can get back to basics and include most of what has been said into one post. Gerry before you start let others either add to my post or give it the go. Basics The crank pulley makes two complete rev...

Re: distibutor 180 out.
A few thoughts, and please correct me if I'm wrong. I wouldn't pull the oil pump as I think the issue is with the internal assembly of the distributor. If indeed it is at TDC #1. Maybe two years ago I totally rebuilt a distributor with new bushings, shaft and Per-Tronics. At the time I noticed becau...

Two choices, fill with water only to put out a camp fire. Or as I do use it as my mobile flask, Brandy or Vodka depending on the season.

Good eye Tim, But does that make it a civy intake or a later M37B1 intake?
Don't need the primer as I run an electric pump and most folks don't realize the changes for a more drivable vehicle for me.

Re: Crank Pulley questions???
Thanks Bert I was hoping for that info. That's the next task as I took the red prime pulley and sprayed yellow over the timing ticks, wiped the yellow off to put it only on the lines. Next I taped off the marks and sprayed the pulley OD. Finally the timing mark area got sprayed with a clear coat. Th...

Crank Pulley questions???
I found myself upset years ago that my crank pulley had no timing marks that I could see. I set the timing by vacuum and it has run fine. That has always bugged me so a while ago I bought a new pulley with marks. I now want to change it out and have two questions. First off; can the pulley only be b...

Exhaust finished with my upgrades
So I had a cracked exhaust manifold and bought a NOS one from a vendor in Texas. Had a chance this week to change it out and as you can see I added something that the Govt. didn't. I welded in a flex joint into a one piece engine pipe. I also added brass washers on the 9 inside hex nuts. It sure is ...
Re: For Sale
Doors have gone to a new home. Also for sale is a 2-1/2 ton military ladder that I welded two pieces of heavy band iron onto. With the tailgate of a M37 down it slips onto the bottom edge. Thought I would be loading troops and bought it. I doubt I'll use it so $80 takes it, perfect condition.
