Fording kit pictures

Does anyone have a picture of the exhaust pipe for a fording kit in the stored position on their truck?

Thanks,

Front fender headlight wire harness guards

Looking for the sheetmetal guards that cover the wire harness for the headlights. They mount under the fenders.

Thanks,

Re: M37 fording kit reproduction

According to the parts list provided with the kit from the Military, there was no rain cap for the intake or exhaust, just straight open pipes. I put a cap on my intake and have seen both the flapper type caps for the exhaust, takes a 1 3/4" size and one fellow I saw put an exhaust tip with the...

Re: Help with my brake problem

I had the same problem after trying to adjust the brakes up on my M37. After I adjusted them, I found out that one brake was dragging slightly and the heat would build up and expand the brake fluid to the point it boils and locks up the brakes. I ended up backing off the adjustments to where they di...

Re: m151 wiper moters

They will bolt up, same bolt spacing. Problem is, they don't lock in the horizontal position because the 151 and M38's had them mounted at the bottom of the windshield and the wipers naturally laid horizontal. Mounting at the top of the windshield in an M37 the wipers will slowly creep to the vertic...

Re: The Brake Drum Condundrum

The flame spray may work but there may be a problem with dissimilar materials and thermal cycling may cause the new material to crack off. Still worth looking into, especially with the scarcity of good drums. If you could only just internally sleeve them, ie; turn them to a specific dia., heat them ...

Re: The Brake Drum Condundrum

We were doing development work on aircraft engine parts and there is promise. The first problem is time, (hours on machine cost) a small engine part in the 2" x 1 /12" size was taking 8 hrs. to fab. A large brake drum might take 2 or 3 days and the there is the problem of material and abil...

bed side straps

I saw a M37 with straps attached through the loops on the sides of the bed just under the side rails. What are the straps for? Who has the straps?

Southwest Ohio vehicle owners

I know of a few military vehicle owners in SW Ohio ie; Cincinnati, Hamilton and Dayton area but, hardly anyone seems to try to get together. I belong to the Ohio Motor Pool but most of their meetings and gatherings are in northern Ohio, way too far to drive my M37. I don't have a trailer and would h...

Re: Horn Question

Mine does the same thing, sounds kind of lame. Would like to put some nice M35 air horns on it but, adding an air source would be out of the question.

Thanks, it will finish off the install. The military drawing only shows part location, not very clear.
