Re: MWM has 2 NOS tailgates F/S

Very nice! But a little too $teep for me. I missed an NOS one at Aberdeen last year that a guy bought for $60 bucks.

Re: unused holes on the rear crossmember?

Travis, If you're referring to the "rusted out bolt holes in the fender under the headlights" super rare weight reduction...........it ain't so rare! Think how bad-ass the M37 would be if the body was made out of aluminum instead of steel........it might actually accelerate when you ...

Re: wintergreen oil restores rubber

Yup.............I bought the same thing. I got mine on Amazon back in July for $26. Just...........what brand of pinch roller cleaner do you use? Most of the ones I've used are simply alcohol and tend to dry the roller out, not rejuvenate it. So what's the name of your secret sauce? regards, bob

Re: wintergreen oil restores rubber

I was a teenager when Armor All came out and was all the rage. We put it on EVERYTHING. It looked like some people dunked their cars in the stuff. Putting it on steering wheels and motorcycle seats are memorable experiences for sure. What ZG says is true.......but in this case the wintergreen is act...

Re: unused holes on the rear crossmember?

C'mon guys.......this is easy! They're lightening holes to keep the M37's weight manageable. Dodge had to meet the Army's specification for max gross vehicle weight somehow.

Re: Blowing Fuel Pump Mounting Gaskets

Hi Rick, Yeah, something is amiss. To blow thru a gasket between two flat mating surfaces takes quite a bit of pressure............and there shouldn't be much pressure. Having the PCV plumbed into the intake causes a suction on the PCV.......so any positive pressure in the crankcase is trying to tel...

Re: What's the Best Speedo Cable Lube?

Hey Ol' Guy............great idea! I guess they're right.......with age comes wisdom. I believe currently in the US.......the break point for being considered an "old guy" is anything past 38 years old. Meaning half the population is either older or younger. That means I've been an "o...

Re: Blowing Fuel Pump Mounting Gaskets

Hi Rick,

You mentioned checking the PCV and fording valve, but did you check the pipe that exits the block that connects to the fording valve? How did you check that it's unobstructed?
Just thinking out loud here.

Hi Andy, Wow...........I was just sitting there, watching O'Reilly, and my ears started burning! I wasn't sure who........but someone was talking about me. So I grabbed my tablet, and since this forum is my home page, I popped over into Technical.......and read your post! Nice bearings! Sorry to hea...

What's the Best Speedo Cable Lube?

Howdy Boys, I was just poking around the web to see what the general consensus was on what's the best lube for a speedo cable. As usual, there are two answers. White Lithium grease say the old timers and dry film lubricant mixed with alcohol to carry it to the full length of the cable say the younge...

Re: Let's Talk Paint Some More.........

Yeah, it's funny.......when you want paint to age it doesn't. Even the crappiest paint today is lightyears better than what they had back in the day. The weather hasn't been cooperating, but it should be close to 70 degrees for the next week or so.........and I bought enough paint to do some serious...

Re: Source for SS armored brake line sets?

Hi 06, Yeah, please let us know how that goes. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on brake and fuel line kits.........not sure if I want to order one steel set of each from Midwest/VPW/Adirondack and use as a pattern to make them out of stainless or nicop.........or send them out to be made. Gues...
