Re: m43 with 318 e-brake setup?
Ended up inventing a bracket
Nothing that was there was going to be solid enough.
I bought a 3 foot threaded rod a clevus and i heim and fiddled with it until I had a rod that would work.
Everything is fully functional now.

Re: Small fire
I replaced every conceivable seal and installed kwik sleeves when I got the truck.
It could have been really bad.
I was way the heck out in the woods by myself

Re: Small fire
I will check for leaks.
I dont have another 50 bucks for new 50w synthetic oil so i hope its ok.
The brake pad was soaked in oil when I bought the truck and I was suprised it worked at all.
It still works too!

Small fire
I caught my parking brake pad on fire today.
I forgot to release it and drove about 100 feet when the cab filled with smoke
I stopped and looked under there
Sure nuff a little bit of flame.
Used my fire extinguisher for the first time in my life

And since the mascot of the USMC is a bulldog. I am going to make a spiked collar for roger and he will ride ...

M43b1 door window seals?
Good gawd installing the channels was a total nightmare. Gave up on trying to even get the rear ones out. 5 hours and got it only half done. At this rate it would be more time and cost effective to buy entire new doors with good window seals! It looks like you hafta smash the glass to get the rear c...

The MV community needs folks that know their shit about these vehicles.
The old guys are dying and the world needs replacements of kind, generous and knowledgable gents to carry the torch.
That means us.
So soak up every bit you can.
Because some earnest young pup is going to be looking for help.
