Centered differential rear axle?

I have heard that the '44-'45 3/4 ton military axle will fit , does anyone have any info on this? I want to keep the same rear hubs, just get an axle with a centered diff.

I guess we all need to remember that these trucks had a previous life in the military- driven by people who often tried to break something, we are talking young guys with a vehicle that is not going to cost them if they break something. I'm sure that these good old trucks went through hell and back ...

Polyurethane is what most folks use as replacements on modern day trucks. You can get them in many configurations. There are several companys that offer these. Energy Suspension is a big one.

I have a 35 gallon Ramcharger tank that i am going to try to get to work. It has a "hump" on the front top, but I think it will go. Have to pull off my existing tank and trial fit.
