Re: Wiring harness early model/late model
Rafael, what is your truck's serial number that's stamped on the front frame rail (should be eight digits; for example 80011151)?

Re: How To:Civilian Plugs and Wires on 24v Military Distributor
The main problem is the industrial / military style spark plugs are obsolete and no longer being manufactured, and becoming hard to get or very expensive. It seems that a viable commercial alternative spark plug for the 3.8 liter engine in the stock M37 is either an Autolite 295 non-resistor or Auto...

I use the conventional concentrated O'Reilly house-brand green antifreeze part No GAL Line AFZ from O'Reilly auto parts. It's listed on the front for use in 2000 and earlier Ford & Chrysler and 1995 and earlier GM and all other makes & models. It's concentrated which means you need to add wa...

Re: Failed Fuel Filter Causes Failed Fuel Pump.
Great detective job!!! What a butcher job on the fuel filter from a previous owner; when you buy something I guess you never know what they may have done to it to cause you grief going forward. I have a 24 VDC Facet fuel pump in my truck on the frame rail just below and forward of the fuel tank (FAC...

If you look up the MIL-STD's for those gages, the smooth connector goes to IGNITION and the ribbed connector goes to SENDER.

Re: Pertronix for M37 12V? Also curious about 4.89 gears
Bob Stahl from Veteran Vehicles has an outstanding article on 4.89 gearing for the M37.
He's a very helpful guy, sells parts (including an M37 third member with 4.89 gears installed), and knows these trucks!
Go to this site for his article.
