Who sells these?
Replaced the rear wheel cylinders on the M37. Visited several auto parts houses looking for copper brake washers. Most had nothing, finally NAPA had a few in stock. NAPA only had smooth brake washers (no concentric grooves) which I purchased. These have apparently gone away from common auto parts re...

Re: Timing pointer on 230 flat head six engine missing
If your motor is up and running, I imagine pulling so much off the front of the motor to put on a new timing cover sounds like a whole lot of work. A tough place to be in I am sure. Is there a way to turn the motor to TDC, would it be easier to pull the head off and use a dial indicator than pullin...

Re: Timing pointer on 230 flat head six engine missing
Any chance you have measurements you could share so I could get close with a pointer?

whistling when warmed up
Figured I would bounce this around for the experts: I have a vacuum leak when the 230 flat head six warms up. There is a constant high pitched whistling (sucking sound) near the front of the engine (carb side). I have used the usual starting fluid to try to find this leak, no luck with increased rpm...

Timing pointer on 230 flat head six engine missing
I have seen pics of the timing pointer for the flat head 6. Do these bolt on or were they a welded tab on the inside of the cover?
Vehicle starts and runs decent. Need to get one installed to fine tune the timing.

Re: coils issues
New owner here with a '63 M37 230cu inch engine. I have replaced the coil in December of 2017 with a chrome Chinese unit purchased a month earlier. My truck has the Petronics 161A unit inside the distributor to get rid of the points. I have the same issue as many others with stalling. The truck wil...

Lazy fuel gage in '63 M37
Anyone else have this issue: When the switch is turned on, the fuel gage takes 40 or so seconds to "wake up" and read.
The charge gage wakes up instantly.
Thx
