Re: Bendix Retainer Collar
Tap on the collar to get it off the snap ring, remove the snap ring and the collar, and the bendix. Replace the bendix put the collar on, then the snap ring in the groove, then snap the collar over the snap ring using the bendix turning backwards to push against the collar. Probably clear as mud but...

Re: Jeep Tools?? (hub puller)
On my three legged puller, the legs have holes in them and you put them on the lug bolts, secure them with the lug nuts instead of on the outside of the hub. After tightening it down if you hit it on the end of the center bolt, the hub will usually pop off.

Re: Just a couple of pics of my M at work
That looks very ingenious, I like to see how people use their M37s and the modifications to make them do what you need. Looks like a great job, Good work!

Re: M37 Started Burning Oil Only Once Warm
Why are you using 10W oil? Change it to 10W30 or 40 and I think your problem will be over.

You don't have to pull the pan to change the oil pump, it bolts on the outside passenger side of the engine.

Re: hi all. new kid here. M43B1 owner
Billy, I noticed the M43 has a winch on the front. I don't think they came that way from the factory, did they? It does look good on it though. I just looked again and realized that M43 is just the paint scheme you're thinking about, but its still cool looking.

Re: Slave Connector Jumper Cable Question
Bob, I have the old 2 pin style receptacle and I made up my own jumper cables. I used a piece of 3/8 copper tubing crimped onto the cable and it fits tight in the holes in the receptacle and have regular spring type connectors on the other end. My truck is converted to 12V so I wouldn't need to plug...

Bob you'd make a good presidential candidate with your mishandling of classified information. Might as well throw your hat into the ring!

Re: The M37's "Superior Brakes"
No argument with disc brakes being better than drum brakes, though the look of the disc brakes in the ad looks like a nightmare to repair. The modern ones have evolved in simplicity of replacement, and I'm all about simplicity. Good engineering to me is easier repair with common tools, and ability t...
