Re: Main Cab Wiring Harness
I went back and looked again. And yes there were some more wires I didn't record. Cannon Plug - Also Near the Plug but not in the other batch of wires near the plug: 12 - Ignition 36 - Out to Oil Sender (Plugs into gauge.) 33 - Out to Temp Sender (Plugs into gauge.) Also, one wire comes from the rea...

Re: Main Cab Wiring Harness
You are right. They have to run from the gauge back to the sending unit. I will look again. The sending units act like resistors and the gauge measures the flow of electricity compared to the 24v input.

Re: Main Cab Wiring Harness
I am in the process of running a new wiring harness in my cab. It's a Vintage Wiring of Maine harness I bought many years ago and has been stored in a box. Right now it's laying in the floor of the cab.
I can note the wire numbers and where they come off the harness. Might take a day or two.

Re: Lu4 winch worm shaft bearing back lash
Are you talking about the free movement/rotation of the transmission counter shaft when meshing with the PTO gear?
That's the movement you need to be checking and can be controlled by the number of mounting gaskets between the transmission and the PTO housing.

Re: For Sale
Yep, I have been to Bill's place and bought a few things. Does the O ring collection go too?
Don't forget that NOS passenger seat bottom in the attic. When I was there that was not for sale.

Re: Winch Conversion
UNLESS going original ends up being a pain in the butt. Yes staying original has been a pain in the butt. Because everything was slap worn out!! And I want everything to be perfect. The latest pain has been digging up old photos of when I took things off to see where the stupid wire clips go on the...

Re: Winch Conversion
My truck originally did not come with a winch.... but....I found a guy doing a restomod selling his engine, transmission and winch set up for not too much money. The hardest part for me to find was the U joint for the PTO shaft. The guy had thrown it away! I had to rebuild the whole winch, t...

Re: Passenger Seat Back Mounting Tabs
The older one with the complex relay box is very problematic, and parts are in the unicorn state nowadays.[/quote wrote:
That's true. I helped my friend get his working. The failure point in that box is the flasher unit. We had to buy a modern 24 volt flasher unit that we fit inside the box. Worked fine then. Kinda fun having the top open and watching all the relays click back and forth.

Re: Winch Drum Bushing Pins
I don't remember pins going through the bushings that are inside the drum. But then I didn't replace my drum bushings I bought a new drum. I still have the old drum and will take a look at it. But I see now in the manual it talks about removing both, (TT) and (BJ). But doesn't say how to do it. I ha...

Re: SC M37
It's a small world. I took my engine for machine work to a guy in a little town just south of me. This was months ago. Then took the rods for him to size the pin bushings and he saw my address on the box I brought. Turns out we both live in the sticks north of town about 4 miles away from each other...
