Questions on engine swap
Looking for feedback and insight. years ago, pre-internet I did a 318 NP435 swap. Motor mounts were made py cutting up the donor truck crossmember. The ends with the mounts were installed in the C of the M37 frame and bolted in. Engine was moved forward enough to allow the transfer case to remain in...

Re: Thoughts on frame crossmember
My thoughts... In a perfect world you would design a very rigid frame. You don't want frame flex, you want suspension flex. frame flex is bad and leads to thinks such as doors and tailgates not being able to be opened, broken body mounts, fuel and brake lines compromised. Is frame flex desired by so...

looking for cab parts
Looking for cab parts, specifically the lower sections. The underneath structure of mine is pretty bad. Need floor supports, inner rockers, some floor pieces, etc. I can fab if needed but would be easier to find donor parts. Let me know what you have, I can send pics of parts I'm looking for but rea...

Just started
Finally getting back into the M37. So far I've swapped the axles over to D60 and D44 out of a 3/4 ton dodge. Engine will be 360 with a NP435 and stock transfer case. Have it down to almost bare frame to powerwash and blast. Still need to figure out the steering.

Re: Thoughts on frame crossmember
Worked like a charm. Got all the rivets out, moved on to my BFG and was able to bank out the crossmember diagonally.

Thoughts on frame crossmember
Started tear-down and looks like something made a nest in the cross-member just ahead of the rear axle. Options are to replace or patch in place. Prefer replacing, has anyone done this? I have the trans cross-members out, at least the flat pieces, not the frame brackets. I think I can remove the rad...

WTB frame parts
Looking for the large two piece riveted crossmember that is just in front of the rear shocks. Also for running boards and brackets. Possibly the transfer case mounts but need to pressure wash and see how bad mine are. Let me know if anyone has anything. Looking to buy or trade. Located in WNY.

Re: NOS FRONT FENDERS ON EBAY...
I've never seen NOS fronts either. At first I thought the price was high but in retrospect it seems decent. I forget what I paid for my used one that's iin great shap but know it was at least $100. Just over 250$ per side for NOS seems pretty fair.

Re: Two questions
Thanks guys. Was going to try to reuse my spring plate but not sure I can. Swapped fronts to a D44 so it has studs that tread directly into the housing. May try to grind it off and see if it can be used as my shock mount. Heading out now to see how bad my cab bolts are. May be able to cut bolts and ...

Two questions
First, on my stock front axle one of the spring plates (also doubles as the shock mount) is welded to the axle tube. Is this stock? It's on the short side of the axle.
Second, does anyone have a source for cab bolts and springs? Mine are pretty ratty and would be much easier to cut off.

Re: swap in '01 Dana 60/70?
Agree with previous posts. The 44/60 swap is relatively simple. I just swapped from an 89 truck into mine. The rear requires the perches relocated. The front requires the passenger side spring outboarded 1-1/2"

Bedside questions
Can anyone tell me how the inner fenders on the bed attach to the bedsides? I know the outer fenders bolt on. Are the inners tack-welded to the lip on the bedside? I bought a nice used set (thanks M-37 bruce!) and wondering how to separate. Haven't had a chance to work on yet but thought someone may...
