Re: R2 crash truck
New shocks. Don't fit either front or rear. Fully extended don't reach shock post. Suppose to be replacements.

Re: R2 history
Identification number of the trucks body as made by brill. I'm going to go thru the plates and look for the L number if it had one. A lot did not as it was a special run.

Re: R2 crash truck
Wire wheeled the loose rust off the used Rustoleum rust converter on it. then semi gloss black. Getting front ready to hang motor. Get paint on it to make stuff later easier to do. Hope to have 3rd members back in axles next weekend as well as redone xfer case. Then back on frame.

Re: replacement shocks
Thanks. It looked like a lot of people use stock. I was thinking when front axle drops down off road or rough terrain. Shocks would over extend and blow out.

replacement shocks
The shock on my R2 are shot. I'll need stock replacements for the rear. But, since I'm doing a 4BT. The front springs will be re-arched up 3 inches and at least 3 leaves added. I'll need longer shocks to work the new travel distance. Any recommendations?

Re: R2 crash truck
Truck is closer to transplant. Only a couple of more things to remove for reconditioning. Then put it all back in.
