RMS, do you have a writeup on your 2" receiver on the back of your truck? Great thread though and looking forward to seeing the operating cost differences.

T-that Jordan fellow is a good guy, plus he has a pretty epic arsenal or at least had access to one.... He probably doesn't remember me, but I'll still vouch for him

Re: Changing out Master Cylinder any tips
BENCH BLEED! when you bleed I like to go PR, DR, PF, DF as the order of operations to go farthest to nearest line to the cylinder. Other than that it is pretty straight forward. The pressurized bleed kits are nice to push fluid up into the MC but a bit pricey. Advance auto sometimes has them to borrow

that would certainly see like a T-case issue. Probably time to pull it apart

Re: Synthetic 50w Trans oil.
you should be fine just running it as is. not going to hurt anything as long as the oil you got is compliant with brass syncros. You can wipe out what residue you can get at and that will be plenty. Do another oil change in a year or so and all will be well

Re: What the heck have I done?
there are a few xtreme 4x4 episodes on the restoration of a deuce where they show a paintjob similar to what you might be wanting. Also a few youtube videos on a guy painting a landrover with a rollerthat came out really well. Will try to dig up the links later tonight

Re: What the heck have I done?
your best bet for 12v accessories is to fabricate a dual alternator bracket and run a 24v alternator for the coil and everything on there and then the second alternator for your accessories. Otherwise the conversion is not really worth the hassle and you may as well just put in a different engine wi...

Re: Replacement gas tank
that's the right tank, no idea about the other questions, but with the sender you just run a grounding strap to the frame, so nbd there, and not sure where the senders end up as far as being under the access hole in the bed, but that's the right one. LMC Truck has the same tank for $99 btw.

Re: What the heck have I done?
there is a deal on the 489 gearsets for the next month or two. Can't find the email right now but when I do I'll post it on here. Saved like $100/axle I think. OD trans is tough with the original motor as it doesn't have enough horsepower to really move it down the road in OD, but something with gea...

Re: What the heck have I done?
might as well keep it, for the size and capability there is literally nothing out today that can match these trucks. Anything in the same size category can't touch it for capability, and anything equally capable is 2x the size. If you need an exhaust manifold I'll be removing a good one here shortly...
