Re: no 4 wheel drive
Does your truck have aftermarket locking hubs? Originally it would have had drive flanges on the front hub that could not be unlocked. If it has locking hubs, go ahead and lock both hubs. With the hubs locked in on both front wheels, or with stock drive flanges in place, place the transfer case in 2...

Re: Plans for 2014
My M37 "To Do List"
Build a new tailgate. (Check)
Go through the front axle and add lock out hubs.
Mount spare tire and Jerry Can.
Get a top. Need a top bow as well.
Add a stereo
Get a heater before next winter.
We'll have to see how much of this time and money allow.

Re: Update
I was able to spend a bit of time on my truck this weekend. I decided My truck should have a tailgate, so that's what I worked on. I'm pretty pleased with it so far. It will have to wait a month or two for paint, so I may change something if I find something I don't like. It ended up a bit heavier t...

Re: where are the LU4 winch studs
I don't know where to get studs that size, But I found some threaded rod at Mcmaster-Carr that you could make your own from. I think that would be better than drilling it out to 5/8".

Re: Door adjustment
Hammer and a block of wood? That's what I would use. Check and make sure the wedge isn't what's putting the door out of alignment as well. You could also try swapping the upper and lower hinges, and see if that helps if your a little leery of beating on your truck with a hammer.

Re: fuel tank cleaning
I used some strong degreaser to clean my tank out. I even threw some small gravel in there with it and shook it vigorously for a while to clean it all out. I then rinsed it several times with a garden hose. I then set a leaf blower blowing in it and readjusting until everything looked dry. I then du...

Re: Clip that holds on brake shoe
I ordered a takeoff one from one of the usual vendors (can't remember who). I cut off the old rivets, and attached the replacement with some Allen head machine screws and locknuts.

Re: Radiator Question
If you're looking at an aftermarket radiator, you should check out the thread on my truck. http://www.g741.org/PHPBB/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2998&p=27880&hilit=wooden+radiator#p27880 I'm running a universal aluminum radiator from Jegs. It was pretty cheap, and fits really well. It keeps my ...

Re: bumperettes
I have no idea they would be worth either. The way I see it, you wouldn't be paying for the part, you'd be paying for my labor to take it off my parts truck. Anyway if I don't have to work this weekend (still don't know for sure) I'll pull it off the truck and we can go from there.

I've got one on my parts truck. its a little rusty, but its not bent up. It will take me a few days to get around to pulling it, but shoot me a PM with an offer.

Re: Door Bumper Replacement
They can be hard to find. Sanding the paint off in the area may help. I also had every thing out of my doors, and had them on the work bench where I could see and work a little easier. I think I ended up needing to persuade them out a bit as well with a hammer and junk screwdriver.
Good Luck

I've got two as well, but my parts truck should really only count for about a half.
