Re: Various M-37 Pieces

I'm interested in entertaining offers on this. Braden LU-4 winch, what you see is what you get. NOT willing to ship. I have the rare brackets to attach it to the front bumper. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/sekesguitarist/photo5_zps2e980114.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/sekesgui...

Re: Painting rims

My thought would be that as long as you paint the rims when they are assembled...you will have little change of painting anything that will prevent a good seal of the locking ring.

Re: Fuel tank screen/prefilter

Any kind of filter, in the tank or before the manual or electric pump is a good idea, but filtered fuel from the tank is only part of the solution. If you still have the old steel fuel lines, you'll have rust and crud in the old lines that needs to be filtered before it gets to the mechanical fuel ...

Re: Wiper Blade #

Hi T, My substitute parts lists shows Anco 20-9 also. But Newstar is now reproducing the M37 wiper blades as part number S-B112. I would think any of the MV parts vendors can get them for you. They might be what ABLinn is selling on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Military-vehicle-M37-Dodge-windshiel...

Re: Passenger Side Rear View Mirror.....How ?

A little late to this party but...this is how my passenger side mirror is mounted. My truck came this way. Its useless to be honest...I think in the coming months I will be making a longer arm for it out of deuce parts. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/sekesguitarist/IMG_0692_zpsb1e151c8.jpeg -T

Re: Muffler pipe support brackets

Just need to check them regularly, as once they break, if you're not paying attention, the exhaust manifold will crack from the stress/weight of the exhaust. That's why the manifolds command high prices.... Gary Good info, never thought of this! Previous owner replaced them with generic mounts... -T

Re: Fuel tank screen/prefilter

Elwood, I finally found that part on John's site, on page 11. It was $60 for the filter and tube, not counting the top plate. My parts have some light rust, but they are pretty good all in all. I was hoping for a cheaper option to replacing good parts. An in tank filter might not even be needed. It...

Re: Tailgate Chain Covers ?

As far as I know the truck was issued with canvas chain covers, but in Vietnam because the wet tropical weather was a killer of all things canvas often times when the canvas wore out the field expedient fix was to use a length of rubber hose as a replacement because the rubber was A: in abundance i...
