Toolbox doors

Still have some bits I'm sorting thru since I sold my M37. Found a set of toolbox doors with good original hinges. Anyone in the market?????

Re: Rust in tool storage box

The bottom of the storage box was originally caulked where it met the bed crossmembers as well as the bed side. I used strip caulk from eastwood when I did mine. If I recall, there were drain holes just behind the bed sides on mine.

Re: Dodge m37 Distributer

You can get the threaded connector, which I assume is the radio suppressor, at most of the dealers if you don't want to deal with ebay

Re: windshield install

The material the glass place gave me was flat and I kind of wrapped it around the glass.

Re: oil filter canister w/o drain

The majority of the trucks I owned didn't have drains. Drain or not, eventually you gotta clean out the canister manually.... the drain doesn't get all the crap out of the bottom. Another issue....boy is it tight getting a container under the plug to catch it all.....

Re: Hood Latches Unique to M37 ?

Can't speak for anything else, but the M43 uses a few of them in the rear compartment to hold the seat backrests in the up position.

Re: 1954 Rear Crossmember Design

Yes, that was what I was thinking of. Thanks for the memory refresh. Odd thing is that my 52 and 53 had to have the pintle rotated as well.....

Re: 1954 Rear Crossmember Design

Can't locate the paper now but the army did put out a notice saying that to hook up the M101 on some years that the pintle had to be rotated for the upper jaw to clear the tailgate center support.....
