Yes, according to the manual I have on mounting radios, this bracket is used on the M42 Command Truck. Now onto the pictures. Picture #1 is of the mounted radio set (an AN/VRC-10 in this case). This radio is mounted on the passenger side of the bed, you can see the bracket under the troop seat. http...

Okay gentlemen, that bracket mounts to the wheel covers and troop seats in the bed of the M37 effectively securing the radio mount and radio so that they don't bounce around. If your truck was a signals truck or had a radio mounted it should have two holes on the side of the wheel cover (left, right...

Joe, Here's what I do with my truck when it needs to be locked. I roll up the door windows and lock the passenger side while I'm still in the cab. Then I leave the drivers side front window unsecured (no one realizes that the front windows can be unlocked and opened) and reach through into the cab v...

Cuz, no problems here. I enjoy a little debate sometimes, it keeps things interesting. Charles, thanks for addressing the lubrication points in/on the distributer, especially that top shaft bushing. You are VERY correct about those being to often ignored (I'm guilty as well). Thankfully someone modi...

I'm not planning on upgrading. The old "don't fix it if it ain't broken" proverb applies when it comes to these things. The question should have been if the system is properly maintained how often do you really need to check/adjust the points? I've gone 13,000 miles without a hiccup from t...

M37 Points & Condenser Question??

Alright, instead of highjacking another thread I figured that starting a new one was easier and would probably get more response. Here it goes. All the debate on the other thread about the pro's & con's of stock points & condenser vs. the solid state replacement got me a little worried about...

Has anyone had any dealings with New Life Canvas lately? I have had a M416 cover, a tire cover (and a M42 side curtain for my brother in law`s truck) on order for a while and not heard from them. I tried calling and got the machine last time. I assume they are really busy or they forgot about me. T...

My M37 is an all original, unmodified 1954 and it doesn't have a jump seat nor does it have any mounting holes for a jump seat. The spare tire bracket and bracket mounting holes are there just no jump seat.

Josh, I have two 12,000 lb. Ramsey electric winches sitting in my garage. My dad had the same idea of putting a front and back winch set-up on his F-350 but he passed away before he could get all the components in place. I never saw the need for the winches so I never mounted them. My dad purchased ...

Refit1701,

I went through every picture with a fine tooth comb and unfortunately I didn't see another early style Air Force marked M37. I'm still finding M37 pictures on the internet so one never knows what might turn up, I'll keep looking for you.

Refit1701, Sorry, that is the original size of the pictures, a larger size isn't available. All of the pictures that I have found have been pulled from various sources on the internet so unfortunately I can't control the size as originally posted. Powerwagontim, Most of the pictures come from unit h...

Refit1701, My pleasure. I searched the library of M37 "in service/action" pictures that I've compiled and those are the best Air Force ones I have. There were a couple more but they really didn't show the trucks that well so I didn't post them. Rixm37, would it be okay if I add your pictur...
