Re: Can anyone ID the devices on the grill of this truck?

Wow thanks, I was a bit busy getting a new job to really look into it. I will add that to the picture in my tumblr page post. I have learned a lot about Korea and Vietnam hunting photos but it has never gone over to that region for M37s until now. Yeah maybe they had some emergency system on it, I h...

Can anyone ID the devices on the grill of this truck?

korea thumbnail_2020-10-23 13-59 2.jpg I just bought some original photos from a guy on Ebay and it seems this guy was stationed in Italy during the Korean War. And as always check on my page for new pictures. I have been buying as many real photos as I can since you know those won't be anywhere el...

Re: 52 M37 – Now With Winch

Lucky you, I have a truck with a winch bumper, but no winch, the broken ones are even expensive. I may put a classic looking modern one on and then cover it with a canvas winch cover to keep it from looking out of place.

I have found a lot of pictures recently, since I can't go to work I can hunt down Korean and Vietnam War M37 pictures.

I have a 52' and I consulted Midwest Military, I got that semi gloss that they make for those years. This is my truck right now with that paint, we have a few more things to shoot but the body (not the hard top) are painted.

That's a coincidence, my friend's and I are Datsun people, I have a 71' 240Z and now a 52' M37! My truck is at my friend's shop that specializes in Datsuns. It's an odd place for the truck haha.

1952 project coming along

We have had some setbacks and the current situation isn't helping but it's coming along. I did find 4 combat rims so those will be fixed up as well. I don't think I'm going to keep the hard top, I have a new soft top and I don't have anywhere to keep the hart top. I am going to try to fit it in stor...

I just contacted Midwest Military and bought the paint they make for 1952. I'm sure they know and have it.

I found a 4th that I needed at Midwest Military actually, give them a call. I had three for a while and never asked them but they dug one up.

Re: Stovebolt T5 transmission swap?

Block to bellhousing is same military or civy. Trans is different to bellhousing military or civy. I'm not sure it's a tough enough tranny, I don't see any examples so maybe it's not a good idea. Every tranny swap I see for M37s are all for other engines that were used. Are they any good synchroniz...

Says 3000lbs. I'm just using it for a bed extension with kayaks.
