Re: 88950 Transmission Rebuild Question
Sure thing Andy. I am taking pictures and notes along the way. I did discover that my particular model is quite early, so the correct manual was the M37 Restoration Guide ( TM 9-8031-2 /T 019-75—A-100 ) My Reverse forks are on the reverse idler gear shaft as opposed to the Transmission Cover Assembl...

88950 Transmission Rebuild Question
Hi folks, There is plenty of documentation on the actual process of rebuilding the unit. However, I am wondering whether anyone treats the gaskets while applying them ? The Docs just state to clean the area, put the gasket on the surface, and then mate them. Does anyone put sealers etc on as well ??...

Re: Pictures of snow plow mounts please
I nearly fell off my chair when I saw this Post ! I thought I was the only guy with a Plow on the "Beast" https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0c91zNa0RbqUEVKVnJOSkhSV0U The guys that put this together invested a lot of time with the Hydraulics. The Blade itself weighs in the order to 350 to...

Re: Transmssion Specifications for the C-88761
Sorry Bob,
One quick clarification.
3/8-16 NC-3 x 1 7/8
This means:
it's a 3/8 diameter bolt.
16 Threads per inch
National Course standard
( Not sure what the -3 stands for ? )
1 7/8 inches in length.

Re: Transmssion Specifications for the C-88761
Hi Folks,
If it's not possible to find the Bolt Specs for this transmission, if anyone has a spare tranny, can they please measure length, diameter, and thread size ??
Thanks so much

Transmssion Specifications for the C-88761
Hi Folks, I have two spare Transmissions, which I am using to rebuild one good one from. Both transmissions are missing bolts holding the shift tower in place. While documentation states part number & tear down instructions, I can't seem to find the actual bolt & thread sizes. Given part num...

Gear Shift Lever Question
Hi Folks, I've just bought a 1952 M37 at an Auction. It drives well, other than the gear shift lever simply sways back and forth. I've read in a few threads that this might be due simply to a broken pin. ( I'm assuming it's like a set-pin ) Has anyone fixed it in the Cab as opposed to pulling the Tr...
