Why the m37? WHATS SO GREAT?

Wow.. got your attention! No really... I need to ask, why do YOU so think the M37 is the "best truck" to you? not being smart A**ed in any way, other than maybe a tad bit of complaining (see later) I mean, I have owned many old dodges, a few 1941 1/2 ton WC models, 4x4, both open an...

Re: Distributor Woes.... Really?

One last note: I did notice that the one wire leading from the disto capacitor was very loose.. I took the capacitor out of the distributor and that wire came off...not sure if I broke it while removing it, or it was broken all along and the movement while removing it broke the wire off completly. (...

Wanted: leaf spring leaves /retaining clips

After reading what Tuko did to raise the front of his M37 by adding leaves from another truck donor spring pack, I want to try the same. Anyone have a set of take out springs? I dont want the entire spring pack, eye to eye, just a few of the mid length and shorter leaves, and the clips to keep it al...

Re: temporary Fuel line option... thinking....

well. I bought a quart of the Evapo-rust at Oreilly's auto last night. It comes in gallns as you say, and pricey, but if you got a store that carries the smaller quart size, its only like 8.99. I bought the quart size to try cleaning that section of line as you suggested, W30bob I think ill try just...

Re: DISTRIBUTOR: need diagram and help

thanks Andy. Yes that will help..good step by step So I guess to just adjust or clean points one must remove the distro completly? I am thinking I might make my life easier by removing the drivers side fender, inner sheild too, to access it all.. wouldnt I be able to lift to outer cap at that point ...

DISTRIBUTOR: need diagram and help

At the point were I need to get into the distributor. Not sure why this M series distro scares me. Maybe its the Unknown, maybe the complexity vs the older simple distributors with a couple of simple spring clips holding on the cap :) Everything I ever worked on in the past had ONE cap, not an outer...

Re: Largest Diameter tires on stock M37?

to DAP: you apprear to have those 11:00-16 tires mounted on custom stockton rims? If so, are those stockton rims wider than the stock 6.5: wide M37 wheel? if so, perhaps 11:00-16 is too WIDE? To TUKO: I like the look of the old stly of the super swamper (i think the TSL) over the "bogger" ...
