Re: 11.00r16 tubes???

Oh nice I will shoot them an email thanks!

Nobody has gotten back to me, one guy has said it's ok to use the 9.00R16 tubes but I haven't had anyone I consider an expert say that is a good plan. I hope it's true because we can get those easily.

Re: 11.00r16 tubes???

I am looking into this, I just bought some XZL. I will try this, I don't see much out there. The valve stems on the tubes at this place in TX look different than I thought, I will have to ask around about these.

Data plate

I found this data plate in my glovebox and I was told my truck is a 1952 M-42, it does seem to have the holes etc.. and more antenna mount locations etc.. for the radio in back. But I have been looking at how to register the truck on here and the numbers don't make sense with the lists. I have not l...

Re: My truck's new home

Wow very nice, I have a couple parking spots at a storage place near here but having a large covered space is just a dream here by the coast. I tend to buy high quality car covers every few years.

Well if I had a garage or any space at all we might have done some things but it is at my friend's shop about 40min away. I work on shows so we were shut down and I was making less than half of what I usually do, I couldn't spend money not knowing when we were going back to work.

Re: My 1952 Dodge M37 re-building process

Nice, I have a 52' as well and we have had delays with working on it but we are starting to get going again so I'm excited. I put some pictures in a post in the builders blog.

Re: 1952 project coming along

Well we have had some setbacks with covid, having to do another job for a year.. and the fires in CA also made it impossible to work at my friends shop due to the smoke, then there were some supply chain issues. I am getting the rest of my brake parts from Charles at M Series soon, he had some labor...

Re: How about a picture of YOUR M37 OR M43!!

Well it hasn't changed too much since we were delayed by fire smoke and covid, but soon it will. I am back at my real job so we can get it going and my friend's shop has agreed to do the work. This is a 52' M42 actually, not a 37 or 43! I found the data plate in the glovebox and I will rivet it back...

I use 303 products, their UV protectant spray is great. All their stuff is aerospace grade.

Re: Stovebolt T5 transmission swap?

No worries. I’m only giving my 2 cents as I have two of the Canadian transmissions here. I think finding the Canadian tranny might not be easy unless you or someone would sell me one, I'm in California. I know a guy with a whole Canadian truck sitting on his land but he will never part it out. But ...

Re: Building a retro M37

Wow I don't think I could do that myself or afford to have someone do it, I would really just like to get a better modern tranny in my M37, I have no idea what would be able to fit with some adaptors. I put power steering and disks up front already. My knees aren't great and I would like to ditch th...

This is the only M283 I've ever seen, looks like the bed is one storage door longer.

Re: Stovebolt T5 transmission swap?

stock has synchros in 3rd and 4th. are you looking for overdrive? T5 too wimpy for an M37. there is no adapter on the market for an OD tranny in an M37 or PW or WC either. there was a guy years ago making a set up for a clark 5 speed but dont think they are still doing it. I think a NV 4500 or a ge...

Yeah I seems like it, K8ICU hunted down the TRUST bumper markings and they may have needed some kind of siren.
