Re: Restomod m37 video
The Acme PTO to fit the CDN Acme T98 transmission is getting pretty rare. Specific parts like the reverse idler are impossible to find. Sid Beck apparently had a bunch of CDN surplus parts and when he passed away, the stock was bought by Brent Mullins Jeep. I have tried email, phoning ect to see if ...

Re: Playing with your M37 during the winter months
Those are antenna mounts. MasterYota posted some close up pictures as part of hos Build thread, now several years ago. He was looking for information on them at that time. If anyone finds some pictures of them deployed, it would be great to post them here.

Re: m152 only Canadian?
The wait is likely because they are near frozen to death. Out here on the balmy coast, its a warm 0 F. I can hardly wait until it warms up a couple of more degrees and I can get the rest of my tractor painted... If that one doesn't work out, keep looking and you will find the right one for the right...

Re: m152 only Canadian?
They are out there but condition and asking price varies a lot. Rust in the same places as the M43 and more... I posted a link for one in Prince George, British Columbia if your location is anywhere near the west coast. Check out the Swap Meet. You could also place an add on Kijji in Ontario, Quebec...

Re: 1952 M37 CDN Restoration
You're making good progress. Once its all apart, you will have a better idea of what needs attention and what needs to be replaced. Bearings, seals and such are not to difficult to source locally and as you establish contacts here and locally, you will find others that may have stuff you can use. As...

Re: 1952 M37 CDN Restoration
If you want a complete box, I'll ask my friend south of the border if he knows of any. Some time ago, there was a good straight box in Spokane that went cheap because it was listed form a year or so before he sold it. You should also hook up with RMS from this forum, he's in Richmond and has his fin...

Re: 1952 M37 CDN Restoration
Check out this current add in Craigs list. He has a couple of bed sides and tool box floor that may be better than what you have. There are others that advertise M37 parts in dry country Tri Cities from time to time. https://bellingham.craigslist.org/pts/5932261540.html For your bed bolts, you could...

Re: Winch Questions
Somewhere on this forum, one of our members posted the dimensions of the top plate and the round rod so we could make our own. Tom @ Snake River 4x4 has the top plate in original or checkerplate and the round rod available. When I got my winch, it had some angle iron on the top, twisted and the roun...

Re: Central Ontario owners.
Since nobody has replied yet, how about Canadians on here?? I'll start, I'm Jess Andersen on central Vancouver Island in British Columbia. I'm an M37CDN owner since 1977 and that one is my runner. My current fleet includes 4 M37CDNs, 1 runner, 1 sleeping. 1 project and a parts truck. We know there a...

As they were Canadian built in Windsor, Ontario and deployed across Canada and with some in Europe, your best bet to find one is to look in Canada on Kijji or Craigslist. Currently there is one for sale in Alberta, listed along with an M135 & M37. http://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/edmonton/195...

Re: what is the designation for the hot water personnel heat
I think its M978. There is an installation TM on the Steelsoldiers site for the heater but its too big to add here. It doesn't mention and 'M' number.

Re: Decode & Information on a M37CDN
When you are looking over your truck, you should be able to find the CAR/CFR number stamped into the left front frame just ahead of the grill. Canadian Army Registration and later Canadian Forces Registration was assigned at delivery and stayed with the vehicle until disposal. That number(YY-#####) ...

Re: 1952 M37 CDN Restoration
Warren, I'm in Black Creek, north of Courtenay and often on an island off Nanaimo where a couple of my trucks live. I have been 4 days a week in Victoria for a couple of months and will be going back again in January for a couple of months. When that gets going again, I'll get in touch and would be ...
