Reason being red light leaves less 'visual persistance' or afterimages in the brain than exposure to other colors.

Re: Windshield Wiper Operation Question

OK, you guys...follow the plumbing of the wiper system. The Vacuum initially comes from the intake manifold, and is then 'boosted' by the second section of the fuel pump. It will vary by engine load, and somewhat be compensated by the mechanical pump. All in all, you know how it performs. Not too we...

Re: Anybody Out There Making Their Own Wiring Harnesses ??

Making them yourself can be rewarding & efficient, but it all depends on your expertise. Your choice of wire to use depends on several factors; Expected temperature range..the OZ military rubber wire can remain flexible at minus incredible temps. Otherwise, why bother. Overall diameter...if not ...

Re: Odd Rims on M37

They be 30's Ford AA truck wheels. The bolt pattern is correct but they are very narrow.

The ''40's GM 10-bolt wheel is sometimes found with every other hole enlarged for Budd nuts.

24-Volt lamps for sale.

I have several new 24-Volt sealed beam lamps in 4", 5", 7", and 8" sizes. From 50-Watt to 600-Watts. Just lamps, no housings. These are great for backup, spot, work flood, and killer driving lights. Also a few type 353 lamps that can make your gauges readable at night, ...

Loose nutz

This thread is very entertaining! Maybe we can have a show called "Dancing With the Mechanics".

Variable opinions and theories abound with trucks never sold with a MSO and not supported by the usual parts houses.

All hail the G-series trucks.....

Most failures are indeed in the rear shafts. The Tractas in the front are pretty robust, and I've never had one fail in 35 years of driving M37's. I have seen several trucks with torn floors due to drive shafts coming loose, but that is always due to the four cap screws coming out. They will not sta...

Wanna' know how a redneck family gets a family portrait?

They all pile into the back of the pickup truck and go screaming thru a red light camera.

It comes in the mail in a week or two....
