Re: Building a retro M37

The gauge cluster looks pretty bright in the video, but in real time it is not so blinding. If i see it is too bright at night I do have a dash dimmer to install into the system. wiring is almost done, just have the signal switch to do and the horn relay. I didn't realize that doing a wiring harness...

Re: Data plates on Glove box

Wow, Snowdad, that is one rusty glove box. I am glad mine was as good as it was. It looks like I have 2 possible ways to go here. Thanks for all the feedback. I am hip deep in wiring now, so as soon as I can I will be putting in an order.

Re: Data plates on Glove box

Thanks for all the response. It is the one on the top right. I'll have to look to see if it is available somewhere. Is there someone out there that reproduces the plates with the serial number that I have now? And maybe the plate I am missing?

I do not know what the 3rd one was. Any help would be appreciated. I think I want to order new plates. Also does anyone know ...

Re: Building a retro M37

When you look at the truck from the side now You will not see anything below the frame in the middle of the truck. I think it looks tider that w...

Re: Building a retro M37

The oil cooler does have a fan. There is a better picture of it on Page 9. This is not a cheap unit so I sure hope it works. Everyone I talked to and everything I have read about it says it should be ample. If i drive at 70 mph in overdrive, I may get much more heating of the oil. It is not a lockup...

Re: Building a retro M37

A few more parts go on. Some of wanted to know about the fuel sender from Autometer. Here are the pics. The sender turned out to be the exact size for the tank hole, just the bolt holes did not line up so I made new ones. https://s20.postimg.cc/v5nb7bzst/fuel_sender1.jpg This is the kit https://s20....

Well I got some more progress pics. Tranny was rebuilt and transfercase checked and resealed. Now installed and starting to hook things up. Re: Building a retro M37

I have a sensor coming from Dakota Didgital. But drilling the hole in the adaptor is out because my adaptor is only 1 1/4" thick the ring gear sticks out of it about 1". Thought about mounting it in the inspection cover underneath but it may get damaged there. Gonna have to do some measuri...
