Intercooler is fitted and needs mounts welded on yet. Waiting for the grille to be installed for the last time to mount the cooler. here a...

Re: Gas Tank Refurbing
I had mine cleaned at a rad shop. They dipped it for me. came out raw steel and I had to oil down the inside immediatly so the rust did not set in. then there still was granular debris inside I could not get out so I installed an inline fuel filter to protect my fuel system. that way I can replace t...

Re: Building a retro M37
Oh ya. Still smiling. Now its getting real interesting with all the new parts arriving and things getting painted. As for the shop door, yes its a 7ft door and the truck is 7 foot 3. I'll be driving it out without a top on and windshield down. My other garage attached to my house has a 8. Ft door so...

Re: Building a retro M37
Well today things got real exciting. Finished building the brake lines and the power steering hoses. Bled the brakes, filled and bled the power steering and topped off the tranny. Did a in shop test to make sure everything worked and took her for a short spin. Body parts are at the sandblaster, part...

Re: Data plates on Glove box
No kidding David is slow getting back to me. How long does he take or should I just phone him? Does anyone know if VPW will imprint my serial number and ID on my new plate if I order mine from them? The other thing is all my plates say Canadian. I guess it really does not matter as long a s the vin ...

Re: Building a retro M37
Here you go M37UK. I bought the plugs at a company called MRO Electronic Supply in Edmonton. http://www.mroelectronics.com/mro/cms.php?id_cms=4 They are working on their website and it is hard to find some parts. I went to their store and found this one on the shelf. The brand is a AMP part and the ...

Re: front disc brake lockup
If you loosened the brake line at the caliper and they released with a bang you have a lot more than 10 psi in the line. I have seen this problem a few times and every time I saw it, it was the pustrod to the master too long. Its like keeping your foot on the pedal and not letting it come up all the...

Re: Cab corner repair
I don't know how big a piece you are working with so I am assuming it is 6" x 10". Assuming you dont have any special tools you could take a sand bag and put it on the concrete floor. Then take a wooden dowel maybe 1" in diameter and 6" long. put the flat peice on the sand bag an...

Re: Cab corner repair
I would cut it out back as far as needed and make a replacement part to fit in the hole and start by tacking it in. Being carefull not to weld too much too fast as to warp it. I have done lots of that on mt M37.
