Another option is to look at 24V electric heaters. You can find some in marine (boat - lower case m) suppliers. Of course, anything nautical = $$$, but it may be worth a look. I put in a great 24V wiper system built for boats. You never know what you'll find. On that note, I've been tinkering with f...

Oil Pressure Switch
I finally found the box! I used a switch made by Hobbs. On the box is stamped "76575 (smudge) 4 NO" I think I bought it at NAPA. It is a 5 PSI switch, if I remember. I also added a 60A zeener diode from my starter switch to run the pump while my foot is on the starter pedal. No priming, sw...

I tapped mine from an unused circuit breaker. The pumps don't pull that much current, but having it protected just in case something catastrophic happens is always a good idea. It is a good ideA to make sure you aren't tapping into a circuit that is already drawing lots of current -the added draw mi...

I was wondering if anyone had heard of or used this method of removing rust by Electrolytic ? I haven't tried it but it sounds interesting.... http://www.stovebolt.com/techtips/rust/electrolytic_derusting.htm How ironic - I'm doing exactly that with my PTO driveshaft (piece by piece). Works very we...

Arctic Hard Top info
Does anyone have an arctic hard top with all 3 inside sheet-metal pieces? I'm missing the front one & need some measurements/pictures/drawings so I can fab one up. Second question: how are the 2 support ribs secured? I have one where the front joint has let go, and the rib can float all over the...

Let me help you clean your garage/shop/shed/rig. If you have a pile of old Douglass (metal shell) or Packard (rubber boot) connectors that you want to get rid of - I'll take them. I need a mishegas of parts & will happily use your used stuff. Any condition is fine. Yes, I'm looking for a bit of ...

U-joint yoke
The ears on some of my u-joint yokes are bent (in - of course). Seems like someone pressed in the old caps a bit too enthusiastically. I want to bend them back in to position enough to get the "+" out & replace it. What is the best way to do this? "Grab & pull" didn't wor...
