My First Breakdown
Coming home from the Hartford Vet Day parade, the shift lever broke off at the base between 3rd and 4th on an upshift. Stuck in N I coasted to the side of the road, got the 4 ways working and looked ahead to see the rest of the convoy disappearing into the distance. I reached down and determined tha...

Re: easton ct
Looks to be in decent shape. Minimal FD lights, doesn't look like any extra holes in the fenders etc. It is missing the blower motor for the heater.

You might contact the MTA group and ask if he is a member. If not, you could try Redball as many members go to both shows.

Re: My First Full Year with a M37
Thanks guys, coming form you all, that means something!!
Having experienced what it is like to own one of these, I think having one to run in the mud isn't for me. Seems like everytime you get something underneath wet, you have to change fluids and check seals.

Re: Was an Anti-Squeak Used on Gas Tank Straps?
I've seen my share of M-37s at shows for the last few years. While I don't like to dis anyone's efforts, lets just say that everyone seems to have their own opinions of what a restoration is. Ran across one this summer that was "restored". Had a 12V system with no wiring harness, colored w...

Re: Was an Anti-Squeak Used on Gas Tank Straps?
I agree with Gary, and will add that I don't hear much over the engine roar and t-case whine. Mine may squeak, but there are lots of other things that make more noise. Quiet they are not.

Re: Cab Top Straps.....Made of Metal ?
You might look into this if all you want to do is keep a tarp up. There are large air pillows at pool stores used to lift the cover. They aren't very much money, get one, put some air in it and stick it inside the cab. Put your tarp over and unless the cat digs it's claws into it, you should be good.

I should be around Sat if you want to stop by for a look. Sunday I'll be in Hartford for the parade. I have a creeper, bring a flashlight!

Re: WTB Cab Mount Bolts
When I last talked with him about a month ago, he was just getting back on his feet after some health issues. Maybe not up to full speed yet, maybe went downhill a bit. Where he's at isn't at the coast, but it's near enough with a storm like this. I recall from this time last year he gets very busy ...
