Re: Can't get timing right, can the oil pump gear be off by

I have come across this before in a m38a1 jeep. The oil pump gear was not timed right with the cam and through the spark plug wire position on the cap off and made timing the engine difficult. Had to do it by ear. I corrected it all when I rebuilt the engine.

Re: Is this right?

Yep there is a small rectangular foam strip that goes there. On the top steel hinge part that is screwed to the frame there should be a tab at the ends for clamping the foam.

Re: 2021 ROLL CALL-PLEASE CHECK IN!

Hi all, I’m still checking in time to time. Got lots of green iron to run but waiting for some good rain showers to get all the tons and tons of salt off the roads.

Re: Which 24V Electronic Fuel Pump?

I run Facet pumps on all of the G749 duces and never had a problem yet. I do plumb in a Holly fuel pressure regulator after the pump to drop the psi.

Re: Anyone Upgrade to LED Headlights?

Yeah they will fit. You will have to make a wiring adapter. I have a set in my m37 and a set in a m38a1.

Re: Rims - Again

I've got a set on my V8 powered M37, running 37x12.50 tires. Haven't had any issues at all, no rubbing and drive nicely.

Re: Engine rebuild shops?

I have gotten some parts from them, good people, but I didn't know if they had the machining equipment to do it or just farmed it out.

Engine rebuild shops?

Is there any good engine rebuild shops that have experience working on the dodge 230, around or close to east central Iowa? One off my 37's is gettin really tired. I'm thinking of pulling the engine and would like to find a shop in my area. Thanks for the help.

Hi all just joined, but have been visiting this site for along time. I was wondering how long it would take some one to see that movie. I am the oner of the two m37's in the film. It was filmed in Iowa and they asked for "army trucks", so are local MVPA group showed up on set one day. They...
