Look at what we have for a CinC now! A guy who served in the Air National Guard and who frequently missed his drill weekends! I get tired of this line. I spent a big chunk of my life in the Air Guard. I have to say that "W" is NOT my buddy, and in fact I often disagree with him LOUDLY. The...

slipsticks

Kelley Johnson and his crew at the skunkworks designed the SR-71 with slipsticks when our trucks were still the state of the art in ground tactical transport. I still have my 12 inch pickett. Still wish I could figure it out.

M-101

The real purpose of that feature is to reduce cubage for shipment, such as air or sea. Remove the two AFT bolts and fold the tongue UP. The trailing stubs are the right length to hold the trailer about level. I think the data plate makes ref to this in the cubage section. I have found that doing it ...

leaks

If Connie Rodd (GI's will remember her from P.S. Mag) is to be believed it's not even a reportable leak until it reaches 5 drips per minute. This from the BYOI for the M-37. At that rate I couldn't make a couple tanks of gas before I need to refill my transfer. Mine isn't that bad, but lets just say...

NAPA parts

I was in northern lower Mich at the fall trail ride. I needed a master cylinder kit. I walked up to the NAPA counter and told the clerk that I needed "one each NAPA part number one". He asked me if that was a light bulb. After I made him look it up he was surprised that I knew the number. ...

A young engineer Lt and a master seargent are in the woods. It is the Lt's field eval. At some point the Lt admits to the Msgt that he's lost. At this point, the Msgt reaches in his back pack and retreves a stake. He drives the stake in the ground and ties a survey tape to it. The Msgt then sits dow...

people in traffic

someone literally jumped in front of my truck in traffic yelling

I had a guy run out in front of me waving his arms and yelling "I used to drive one of those". I replied "Then you'll know the truth about the brakes, don't run out in front of one in traffic"

D.O.A. (almost)

My truck has been running a bit poorly this past few days. Dropping one cylinder. My hope was a bad plug.... No such luck. I started out by pulling one plug wire at a time. That narrowed it down to hole #5 then I switched plugs with hole #2 The problem stayed in #5 (BTW Lots of spark). The telling m...
