Hi Ed,
I'm still moving around but a whole lot slower, I'm glad I finished the bed last summer as I don't think I could do it now with my health. Nothing really new on my end, except I'm a grandfather.
Stay well my friend

Re: New source for wiper blades?
Great question, I also need another set. And like you think it's because of the age of the NOS ones we get.

Re: Exhaust manifold woes and a ?
Hi Wayne, Here is what I've used to remove rounded fastening nuts. First is a Snap-On Nut cracker NC52 or a Blue Point TSFSY15A Turbo socket. Both are possibly available in other brands, but these were my brands of choice. http://g741.org/photogallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemI...

Exhaust manifold woes and a ?
Started the tear down to replace the manifold. First off the NOS one I bought doesn't have the three plugs where the primer hooks up, not that I use them. The engine has a rebuild tag so I don't who installed the manifold, but what I found was both the center bottom intake and the two long ones were...

Re: Australian economy sucks sometimes....
To jump in with a question. Now that my ride is road ready I'm sure the NDTs are going to need replacing in the near future. Does anyone have a link to the DIY conversion of the centers to a steel tubeless rim? Back in the old bye gone days hot rodders cut apart rims to create "reverse rims&quo...

My B1 has the cup type. I prefer that to a Zerks as too many folks don't know when to stop pumping.

Re: Gun Trucks
From 68-69, gun trucks were around but not in the numbers that would have been seen say in 1970. 25th Id if I remember was down in Cu Chi area and though ambushes happened, I dont believe large amounts of GT's were built as to the Trans units that operated out of the Highlands. The gun trucks that ...

Re: Gun Trucks
Honestly I have no clue what M type vehicle he was referring to. As I stated I never saw one in my AO during March 68-March 69. What the motor pool put together after I left I can only say those guy's were good. As an example, we suggested extended laterals for the M113A1 drivers to put them on top....

Gun Trucks
Before I copy paste what is below I must explain a few things. I left RVN in March 69 after a full tour. I never saw a "Gun Truck" as we the mech. Infantry ran with convoys as security. Since I was asked to write a chapter for an up coming book I get lots of emails from other folks that we...

Re: Fuel tank pickup/cover
Don't know what was original. I used Yamabond on the sealing gasket and small fiber washers under the screw heads. Worked fine for me.
