Re: Wanted Army green vehicle logbook as used for a 1952 M37

Heya, Paddy and all! Boy, does that bring back memories! That's the same type book we had in our 1/4tons and later in our first HMMWVs. I have one I bought fresh off of eBray for when I finally end up with something Army. Now, a question for the experts... what type documentation folder / binder / p...

Heya, Oddjob! Interesting find you made there.... 40th Infantry Division is the major Army National Guard command in California, and the 160th Infantry is a large part of the division. Your vehicle is definately a local, with the Division headquarters based in Los Alamitos, and units of the 160th In...

Heya, all! Time for an update.... Still looking for a rear step / seat. Also any actual XM152 rear interior parts.... my truck had left and right bench seats during it's working days, so any of those specific parts would be wanted. I would also like to give a big thank you to Rick (Rick C), Bruce (m...

Heya, all!

Definately a M152 CDN, perhaps ex radio truck. Only 2 or 3 of the US pilot XM152's would have had side windows. One also supposedly had a side door... makes you wonder what happened to these pilot trucks?

Heya, all! Just did an inspection of the filler tube and extension on my XM152 / M43... the extension "shouldn't" be able to turn in the lowered / retracted position. The extension has 3 bumps around it's base, these ride in "T" shaped tracks that are spot welded into the filler ...

Thanx again, gents! Did a more careful examination today... This leads to todays question... the part of the hinge that bolts to the "A" piller (cab side), is it supposed to be flat or does it have a curve to it, pointing forward when in place? The passenger door has no damage to the hinge...

Thanx again, all, for the advice! I know the old trick of having a door closed, in the jamb, when removing or rehanging. But thats part of the problem... the upper hinge is cracking / tearing causing the rear of the door to sag. Right where the hinge transitions from flat to curved (right at the out...

Thanx, Lifer and Carter!

I just wanted to be certain before I started swingin' metal about!

I'll douse it liberally with some Liquid Wrench and give it a try.

Thanx again for the advice,

Drivers door removal

Hiya, all! I need to remove my drivers door due to the upper hinge being cracked and causing the door to sag... so what's the preferred method? 1. Take pins out of hinges? 2. Unbolt door from hinges and then unbolt hinges from "A" piller? Thanx in advance! Russ Proud son of Rose and Wes 19...
