Re: Windshield Hold-down Bracket?
You’re missing the hold down latches. They look like the hold down latches for the hood but with a different handle. Midwest Military has them im sure. Thanks for the description. I was able to find them. Ordered! Hood to Windshield Catch 7005413 Screenshot_20231007-074547_Samsung Internet.jpg

Windshield Hold-down Bracket?
In preparation for transport this week I decided to fold the windshield down to cut air resistance while trailering. There seems to be missing some type of locking mechanism when it's laying on the hood. No strap loops, nothing.
Am I missing some hardware??

Re: 24 Volt Military Coil Modification
Pardon me if I'm off base here as I've only had my M37 for a couple of months.
If you have a 12v coil why not run the ignition switch from one battery (1st one away from ground) to the coil? That way you don't need the resistor.

Brake Pedal Removal
I need to have the brake pedal modified for the type of power brakes being installed. A search on the .net on how to remove it turned up zero. Even a search here, nada... Looking at the IPB shows the pedal shaft and bracket. How is the shaft held in the bracket? I don't see a retaining clip or bolt....

Carburetor - Huffing above 45MPH
Ok, ok, so it's not really doing drugs... Neither am I!! On the 2nd drive I was able to confirm what I 'thought' I was hearing. With my right ear deaf, sometimes I think things are different than they really are. The best I can describe it is when accelerating at 45mph I hear multiple "HUFF&quo...

With Speedi-Sleeves (or similar) what sealant do you use to prevent oil from working between the sleeve and flange?
RTV?

Re: Turn Signals
I wired a fused line from my 24V battery set up to a steering wheel shaft mounted flasher set up, works fine. Not connected to the big military dash multi-switch. I wasn't about to try to figure out the military switching set up. Hal This would be a great final bypass option. I just want to be sure...

Re: Turn Signals
Haven't had the time to dive into this yet. Never looked at the actual lights. Will do as part of troubleshooting.j mccormick wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 4:26 am Check the flasher, if you have an indicator light on at the t/s switch you must have current to the switch. Are the turn lights on too?

Turn Signals
I swore the turn signals worked! Now, nothing but a solid indicator light in positions D and E. All other lights work as expected.
I have not moved anything under the dash. Just finishing up in the battery box.
Suggestions?
The learning curve is steep on this old truck!

Transfer Case Output Seal
Changed the transfer case oil last week. Got back to it and found 1/2 cup of oil on the floor. I thought it was from the drain plug. Refilled and Teflon taped the drain and fill plugs being careful not to get the tape where it would be "in" the case. Filled and just hung around for 30min. ...

Re: the $3000 Fuel Filter
While it won't separate the ethanol in E-10 it will separate any water already there. Once in the receptacle it can be drained off or discarded when the filter can is replaced.
