Re: New Tires
Been getting the same errors myself...randomly.
Im up north of the border, so it's not a regional thing...more like a server issue.

Re: Brake shoe linings
Found that too...i managed to dig my copy of the canadian eme manual out of my messy files...the wear limit on the drums is 14.220" The canadian eme manual, is a good deal more complete, than the U.S. version. It only mentions shoe replacement when the linings get to, or thinner than 1/8"....

Re: Brake shoe linings
Found it...had to really dig into the manual (actually a better copy), to find one line. Lining dimensions are 1-3/4" x 15" x 1/4" Mine are worn at least 70%...since brakes and steering are not something I wish to compromise, I'll look into getting mine re-lined locally...if cost is p...

Brake shoe linings
Had a look at the manual, and cant find min/max allowable thickness for the brake shoe linings. As I dig deeper into my m43 brakes, I get the feeling I need new brake shoes, and possibly drums. Drums I can get aftermarket, albeit at great expense. Shoes I can get relined locally, for less than impor...

Radiator cap depth.
I need a new one...I'm operating under the assumption , that an m37 candian, with the stock brass rad, uses a deep neck cap...correct?

Re: Electric steering motor
I should have seen this earlier...there's another option, albeit a bit pricey, for 24v to 12v conversion. A battery equalizer...it's designed to center tap a dual battery ,24v bank, and safely regulate and charge both batterys.i used one for several years in my m1010 for 12v power. Mostly for the ca...

Both midwest military and vintage power wagons have the rubber bits, as well as parts to rebuild the door seals, etc.
Nice find...it's the rust free part that's important...no rot makes everything easier!

Re: Has anyone installed a Chevy 454 or 502 in their 37?
The good news, is that a 454 is dimensionally, nearly identical to a 396...they are both big blocks with the same mount locations and trans bolt patterns. 454 is a bolt in. Only consideration is the accessories in front. I think the 454 accessorie package is wider than a 396...but not sure. If you h...

Re: Ignition 101
if you roll your image so the coil is down, the #1 wire is bottom left, following clockwise, #5 ; #3 ; #6 ; #2 ; #4...pretty sure thats it. from memory mind. i think in the manual, theres an image of the numbered cap wire positions in the electrical section....you marked number 5

Re: Tire chains to fit 11.00 R16 tires
You may consider trying an AG supply store...11.00-16 is a fairly common front tire size on some smaller tractors. You'd probably end up with what amounts to what we call up north, a steering chain...usualy round or square twisted links, on a two-link cross chain spacing. Studded v- bars are availab...

Re: T98 input shaft
much appreciated...definitley a bit odd. like a combination of the HD-t98 ford input, with a jeep t98 input. amazingly close to the HD 1-3/8" input thats available for the nv4500 though... if you recall, was the pilot snout extra long, like the jeep inputs? just some ideas turning in my h...

T98 input shaft
Does anyone know the stickout length of the the Acme t98 in put shaft? Curious,as I can't find much info on the 1-3/8" input.
Looking for the length from the trans case mounting surface to the tip of the input...the inner diameter of the throwout bearing would be cool to know as well.
