When checking back lash i read that the number of gaskets is checked without the seals installed.
Is this done with the drum shaft and brass gear installed? Or do you just install the assembled worm gear shaft? Thanks

Hi All I have read several posts on severwl forums about rebulding a LU4 winch. I haven't seen any mention except in the TM of the small pins that go through The drum bushings.
