Electronic Ignition problem

Hello everyone,
I went out to drive Fiona today and she wouldn't start. Double checked power to ignition and fuel to carburetor. I have both. I did notice that the last time I drove it I left the ignition switch ON. Will that fry the electronic ignition components or coil?
Thanks,
Dennis

Exhaust leak

Hello all, I have owned my M-37 (Fiona) for 5 years and have been plagued by an exhaust leak. I had the exhaust manifold machined and replaced all the studs about 3-years ago. I used the washers and nuts purchased from Vintage Powerwagons and although when I hear it leaking, I can tighten the nuts a...

Fuel problem

Hello All & Happy New Year... The last time I had Fiona out, she was purring as usual, for about 15 miles then died and would not restart. Everything about it pointed to fuel, so a couple of days after I got her home, she started, and I attempted to drive it but only made it about 100 yards befo...

Re: Exhaust leak

Sorry, I know it’s at the manifold, not sure of intake or exhaust.

Exhaust leak

Hey guys, I have an exhaust leak on my truck. Not sure exactly where, but did replace the gasket about a year ago for the same problem. At that time I had the manifold surfaced to ensure no warping. Anyone experience this or have any recommendations?

Re: HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY !!

Spent the day at the Operation Comfort Car Show, benefitting injured and ill veterans. Great show, almost 200 cars and Fiona drove away with the Veteran's Choice Award!! Very Proud!

Re: Trailering with Uhaul

LOL!! I understand completely. After my post earlier, I measured the height of the M-37 front bumper and the rear of my tow vehicle and had already decided that it would not work without considerable parts/equipment of adjust for the difference, plus mounting plates, etc... I can rent a 7500 GWVR tr...

Re: Trailering / Towing

Expanding on the whole towing issue, how about flat towing an M-37? Does anyone have experience with that? I'm talking short distances, perhaps up to 50 miles. I can purchase a tow bar rated high enough to handle the M-37 alot cheaper than I can a car hauler... just thinking...

Re: Trailering with Uhaul

Thanks again for the ensight... All points were very important and as a result, I probably avoided a catastrophe  It is so nice to be able to query the masses before doing something stupid!!
Thanks to all,

Re: Trailering with Uhaul

Thanks to all who commented... Especially the liability discussion, I hadn't fully considered that. My son-in-law has a car hauler trailer but and I believe its GVWR is 7500 lbs., and I would have to pull it with a Nissan Armada. I'm beginning to think that perhaps I should consider that famous quot...

Trailering with Uhaul

Good Morning All, Does anyone have any experience towing the M37 with a standard U-haul car hauler? Their website states a maximum load of 5290 lbs. and my M37 without a winch is listed as 5687 lbs. I'm wondering if they build in a safety factor of 5 or 10%? Sure don't want to have a breakdown on th...

Re: Fuel additives ?

I went today to O'Reilly's Auto and found a product that states it "restores" old fuel and helps dissolve and clean varnish residue from the fuel system. It is called Star Brite Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment... I guess I'll find out if it is worth anything...
Have a great week!

Fuel additives ?

I didn't drive my truck much through the winter months and after starting and running her for a while yesterday, the exhaust had that "old gas" smell to it. I know that fuel will do that when it sits for some time. My question to the group is... Is there a fuel additive that will help in r...
