Auction you guys may be interested in.

I’ve been away for a while since I sold my truck several years back, but I saw this auction in an email and thought of everyone here. Looks like some deals could be had on some stuff. https://www.houseauctioncompany.com/project/details/57523 Apologies if you want it somewhere else. Hopefully someone...

Re: Last chance before I scrap it

Add to the list:
An outer windshield frame, a little rusty but straight and salvageable. Doesn't appear to have any rust through.

Last chance before I scrap it

I have the remnants of my parts truck for sale. Its pretty much just a chassis at this point, but I need to get rid of it to make room for my new project. I will sell any thing you might need off of the frame. Make me an offer on anything. I'll give it a few weeks, but it will be heading to the scra...

Updated update

Well, I guess this will be my last update. A couple of months ago I sold my M37. I had gotten to a point where I was not excited about going further with the build of my truck. So one Sunday morning I threw an ad up on craigslist. Within 3 hours I had cash in my hand ($500 off my asking price), and ...

Re: Mini Steam Cleaner?

I too would go with the mineral spirits. its cheap, easy to find, and is the best solvent I've found for caked on oil and grease. I get every thing clean with mineral spirits and save the brake cleaner for the "final rinse".

Re: Plans for 2014

Well I'm making some progress on my list, and adding some other stuff as well. Good thing I've still got half of the year left. You can see the progress HERE

Re: Update

Well I've had another flurry of progress. I actually had my truck in its first show as well today. I basically used the show as a motivator to get a bunch of work done. A lot of it was in the bed. I sanded all the paint off the inside of the bed and coated it with a couple coats of epoxy, and a uret...

Re: Tailgate Chain Covers ?

I used some sleeving for hydraulic hoses for my chain covers. I picked it up from an industrial hose shop I deal with at work. Its Black and made of some sort of synthetic material. I cut it with a hot knife, so it won't unravel. It was less than a dollar per foot.

Re: paint and primer

If the remaining paint is putting up that much of a fight, I wouldn't worry about it. I would solvent wipe everything real well, and prime it. If you're using a self etching primer, just skip over the areas that still have paint. You could also just use regular old rustoleum primer and hit it all. B...

Re: Passenger Side Rear View Mirror.....How ?

Well, I figured it out. using the new mount as a template, I marked where the hole should have been. I started out with about a 5/16" drill bit, and it immediately started making big long curls. A little more than 1/4" of lead was covering a hidden weld nut. I opened up the hole, chased th...

Re: Passenger Side Rear View Mirror.....How ?

I just received a passenger side mirror mount from Midwest Mil, and it looks great. My only thing is that there is no hole for the bottom mount. I ordered the part while I was away from my truck, and just didn't think to check. Are those holes already there on the B1's ? I don't have a problem drill...

Re: multiple leaks in one small area of the gas tank

I had quite few pin holes in my tank. I thought the tank was pretty good until I cleaned it out with degreaser, and scraped and sanded the out side. I ended up soldering up all of the holes in my tank and using it without a liner. I had heard some mixed results of the DIY tank sealers, and I figured...

Re: big brakes

Its definitely an M37, but it looks to me like he's adapting 6 lug hubs onto the stock spindle.
