Re: Steering knuckle rebuild

Thanks guys! You are very helpful! I will give it a try with a slide hammer and this puller if I can find it online somewhere.
Another thing that I was wondering about are the shims. What is the purpose of those? Do I need to replace them or can I re use the old ones?

Thanks again!

Since I already took the drums and brake shoes off I thought about going further with this and stripping down the entire steering knuckles and hubs and replacing the seals and bearings. Re: ETW1 pump plungers

I had the same problem with my accelerator pump. I cleaned and rebuilt my carburetor using a rebuild kit and the the plunger that came with the kit is the one on the left. It was very tight in the bore but I decided to give it a shot. The truck ran terribly with hiccups under load and completely no ...

Re: M43B1 1963 Ambulance

Hi Mike, Broken leg? That has to be difficult to do most anything!. Anyway, to your questions. My responses are based on my experiences and preferences and are by no means "the gospel" as some others may share their preferences that may differ from mine. Tires-I used new tubes with my old...

Re: M43B1 1963 Ambulance

Re: M43B1 1963 Ambulance

I dont know whether the engine was rebuilt but it runs very well and starts right up everytime. The voltage is good and my meter shows around 28 V when running.

Re: M43B1 1963 Ambulance

Im trying to figure out a way to decrease the size of other pictures to post them. Everything in the truck works fine, ventilator fans, dome light, surgical lamp. I havent checked the gas heater yet but it all seems complete and in good condition.
