With all that being said, I'm not sure any of that is going to solve your flooding problem. I know you said your carb was recently rebuilt but I would be double checking your float and cut-off needle. Somethings not right for that much fuel to get all the way to the elbow.

Re: Lines and the 24v waterproof distributor

Easy answers 1st: The black hose in your last pic goes to/or comes from, ( I can't remember which) a hot water personnel heater. Usually there is just a pipe plug there. As far as distributor swapping go, here's what Vintage Power wagons has posted on their distributor page call them and double chec...

Re: Lines and the 24v waterproof distributor

Don't forget, you need to have the proper venturis in the elbow. They are angled so the air flow is created. For example, if you have 2 coming from the distributor, the inlet venturi is open faced toward the air cleaner (so air pressure is pushed into the line) and the other is turned away from the ...

Form-A-Gasket Type 3 Aviation Affectionately known as the "Brown Shit" It's in the same family as Anti-Seize...It works awesome but gets on everything and is a pain to get off. I have never had a failure with it. Use lacquer thinner to get it off your hands etc. For your shiny engine...

I thought the same thing for about 2 minutes before realizing optimum truck fixing season is the same as optimum fishing season (here on the east coast). And people said with retirement I could get things done..

Question about our hardware..

Is the hardware (nuts and bolts) on our trucks officially labeled as "UNC" (Unified National Coarse) & "UNF" (Unified National Fine) ?
I was looking for a set of thread checkers and wanted to be sure.

Re: Slave Cable Wire Routing

From OMM Fig 2-11 page 2-25 it looks like it runs up the dimmer switch and then unsupported over in front of the shock and over the steering column to the starter.
page 2-35 fig. 2-26 gives some instructions then refers to fig 2-11.

You can readily find just the replaceable lamp assembly that sits in the housing most you see have the visor but I have seen just lamps as well (older and still metal).

Re: M42 Kit info

You might want to contact John Bizal at Midwest. He had a decked out command truck at one time. Being a dealer all these years, he would know and probably have some, if not all, of the parts you lacked (unless they are made of unobtanium).
