www.boyceequipment.com has them as well. From time to time they even have the uber rare flange that fits over the pinion splines (the part that your broken part is supposed to be bolted to.) oh, one more thing, like Lifer said, get the bolts, and put a dab of loctite on them, they like to loosen up,...

I didnt cover my spare body, but I laid plastic UNDER it, to prevent moisture from soaking up through the ground into it, and set it on sawhorses. Its been sitting beside the barn for almost 5 years and looks the same as the day I put it there. The trick is to put the plastic under it, and leave at ...

Great. My top plate was missing, and the bottom rod as well. That would explain why I could never keep oil in mine. I gave up after a while. I would fill it and there would be a puddle under it when I came out the next day. Teh guy before me rebuilt it right before I got the truck, I always assumed ...

heh, you and I are opposites. the rattle is ok to me, but the supercharger/turbocharger whine of the detroit is what makes me melt... :D I'll probably use the cummins, as its a better engine all the way around, but, mabye when I build an off road beater later I'll stuff a 6V53TT in it.... http://www...

So Ive been thinking on this diesel thing again

So, I went and watched this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZWgrTde348 and I gotta say, nothing sounds quite like a detroit screamer! He has the 4-53T, which wont fit, but the 3-53T will. The power output to the cummins 4BT is comparable. Im probably insane for even considering it, given its heavie...

Im assuming that you guys are running stock 120HP 4Bt's? I was going to do a turbo swap, aftercool it, and bump the pump a bit to get it up to around 160 or so. The guys over on a few 4BT repower forums say that the peak efficiency actually occurs if you change to a larger turbo and play with the in...

Im afraid Im going to have to pass on the caddy. Two money pits is quite enough! I got a NOS set of drag links for the elder money pit for $20 shipped on eBay. Showed up yesterday, they look nice. On a side note, the twin turbo terror: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a46/josh19wrc/IMG_5032.jpg I lo...

Im hoping when I 4BT and NV4500, with my dana 60 4:10's and some 40" rubber I can get that cruise RPM down to around 1500 or so RPM, and still maintain a 60:1 low range crawl ratio. My Audi only gets around 26 MPG average (330 HP twin turbo V6 driving all 4 wheels, hard to keep my right foot of...
