Re: ROLL CALL-WHERE IS EVERYONE?

I love it when people refer to it as an "Army truck." I usually respond with "Where??"

Re: ROLL CALL-WHERE IS EVERYONE?

Another lurker reporting ... :)

Nothing to report. M-37 is running, driving fine. Been using it to provide 24V power to the MEP until I can get that fixed. Just wish I had a longer slave cable ... :)

Greetings to all.

Re: Insurance

A couple of things I've learned over the years insuring commercial vehicles, collector vehicles, farm vehicles and normal drivers: 1. Everyone is different in the eyes of the insurance companies (Just because one person gets a good deal from one company doesn't mean you will) 2. If you have been wit...

Set of 4 9.00 x 20 wheels and NDT tires -- $350 (Non-M37)

Set of 4 9.00x20 NDT wheels and tires for your M-105 trailer or M-35 2.5-ton truck. Two are new and still have nubbies. Other pair have 95 percent tread remaining (nearly new). Both pairs are takeoffs from M-105 trailers thus are M-35 wheels and ties, as well. Located in So. Maryland (St. Mary's Cou...

Re: coils issues

Thanks for the info in this thread. All Summer, the truck has been having the issue described by others in these coil threads -- runs pretty goo0d for 10-15 minutes then cuts off and won't run again until it's sat for 5-10 minutes or so. So I just checked the coil: Cool I got 15 ohms on the primary ...

Re: Oil Filter Cannister question

Thanks for the replies. So the gasket supplied with the replacement filter is wrong -- figures. Can I double them up?

I wish to remain original or I would check out switching to a spin on.

Re: Oil Filter Cannister question

Thanks! So apparently, the gaskets supplied with the filters are incorrect? They have been pretty thin. The top bolt is not leaking. It's just leaking around around the lip.

Re: Oil Filter Cannister question

Thanks Gary -- As we know, not all MV-related forums are quite so simple question friendly ... ;) Its leaking around the gasket. I am starting with a good gasket from the correct filter. Apparently, the first time, I tightened the top too much and pinched/holed the gasket. Second attempt, with a new...

Oil Filter Cannister question

Gents -- Please pardon what may be a dumb question, but I am a dumb guy so please indulge me ...

After my recent oil change, I am having a hard time getting the top of the oil filter cannister to seal. I am getting a leak. What is the trick to getting it to seal correctly?

Thanks,
John

Re: Wiring in Signal Stat 900 switch -- advice needed

NCM -- Those are the Michelin XZL 11.00 R 16's. They were in the back of the truck when I bought it. Still had the stickers and nubbies on them. Update: 2 steps forward, one step back. Lights are still working great but I only made it 3 miles on my triumphal "Drive your old truck to work Friday...

Re: Wiring in Signal Stat 900 switch -- advice needed

Image All Done! Even upgraded the taillights to a set of more modern ones I had from an M105.

Thanks for the help.

Wiring in Signal Stat 900 switch -- advice needed

Decided to quit hijacking Cal Gary's thread ... I removed my original 600 unit over the weekend (corroded and broken solders). Pulled the turn signal box out to see if I could salvage the flasher ... it was partially full of water! No wonder those turn signals didn't work ... At any rate, I have all...

Re: SUCCESS-Turn signals died...

Well, that's a good question and I hadn't thought of doing that. My day job is working for a major military Systems Command so I guess it's programmed into me not to mess with engineering configurations without reams of documentation and authorization ... Thanks for giving me an alternative!

Re: SUCCESS-Turn signals died...

Do I need a new flasher? Also, consulted the wiring diagram from the TM (the one that covers the B-1). How do I match up wires to the new 900 Signal Stat?? The diagram just shows the wires on the 600 unit as being A,B, H or whatever and that they connect to the corresponding stations on the relay bo...
