Re: Clutch slipping....
The thought of dropping the tranny or pulling the power pack makes me dizzy. I'd make an adjustable rod if need be.

Re: Clutch slipping....
Hey Gary...didn't get to do any work until late yesterday! I first looked at adjusting the pedal but there's really more adjustment on it. So I removed the clutch cover and took out the spacers between the flywheel and pressure plate. Now I am back where we were when we put them in; the throwout bea...

Clutch slipping....
Now that I have around 550 miles on my engine with new clutch, it is slipping enough on hills to be noticeable. I put a new, relined clutch plate on it and had to install 1/8th inch washers to allow the throwout bearing to reach the fingers on the pressure plate. Could it be that with only 500 miles...

Re: Plans for 2015
In 2015, I"ll be cheering everyone on...especially Bob....to get some progress done on their projects. I still have that 1% left on the AF 37 and I am building another bay on the shop to store the 37 and the Chevy M6. Then it's off of M series for a bit while I restore my 66 T-5 "Mustang&q...

Here's my truck 7 years ago: http://apollosaturn.smugmug.com/M37/M37-As-Purchased/i-txz2bBK/0/L/DSC_1911a-L.jpg Here it is today: http://apollosaturn.smugmug.com/M37/Air-Force-Blue-Parts-Progress/i-Q5LFTzk/0/L/20140927_173611-L.jpg As I said, roughly $5K in it. But I and a friend did 99% of the work...

Re: How much $$$ you got in YOUR truck?!!
I paid $800 for mine and probably have added $5K to it. My truck was stripped of so many things.

From what I have seen, that varies widely with respect to the operating command's preferences. I found no evidence of those on my truck.

Midwest, Army Jeep parts, etc., sell those gauges. They are nice repros. Be sure of which sender you have for the oil pressure as I bought the four gauges and then discovered I needed a 60psi gauge, not a 120.

Re: legality of truck bed passenger carry
It varies from state to state. I only plan to use mine in parades at slow speeds so it's not much of an issue.
I don't think I'd want to ride in it without a bed cover at higher speeds.

Re: Patching a tube....
I meant no disrespect Charles or for Cuz either. He's sorta dropped out of sight. We need all viewpoints here. I have sent the tire/wheel to a truck company to have it fixed. I just don't have the free time to experiment with it. Plus I was afraid I would ruin the rim. I'll have more time for learni...
