Re: 1953 M-37 for sale

Weekends are typically good. When I work (retired) I am done and home no later than 2:45pm. I live in Forked River.

1953 M-37 for sale

About 5 years ago I had to have my generator rebuilt. During this time my son "borrowed" my battery tenders and the batteries died. I bought new batteries (that have since died) and tried to start the truck only to find the gas had evaporated. I have cranked the engine, it still turns. My ...

Re: Where to buy tires in CT?

Thanks for the post for the show, Looks like it is worth the couple hour drive to get there. One can never have enough spare parts.

Re: Need Advice Please:

All good information, I will work on it again this weekend. My first task will be to hook a clear line to the gas tank petcock and see what the fuel looks like (stale I'm sure and should be drained anyway. I'll pull the plate in the bed and see what the lines look like with some air blown through, I...

Re: Need Advice Please:

I just change the oil yesterday, and since no fuel is coming out of the line to the carb, I don't think the oil is contaminated.

Re: Need Advice Please:

I'll check that, thanks. Low ethanol fuel here only 15% when they have it. I'm thinking I have to drain the fuel tank disconnect the lines and blow them out.

Re: Need Advice Please:

I pulled the fuel line to the carb and no gas is getting there. I'll have to trace back. I read in the manual that it says to blow out the lines with air. I'll read that again and see exactly how to do it.

Re: Spark Plug wires

The wires are all in good shape, the problem is part of the spark plug that tightens into the cable rusted out and broke off flush with the plug wire connection. I am going to see if I can get the rusted plug out of the connection but If I can get new wires it would save me some tedious work.

Spark Plug wires

Do you have to purchase an entire set of 6 spark plug wires? I only need 2, seems water got under the hood and rusted the metal housing on the spark plugs and I can't get the threads out from the plug cables. The Plug wires are braided and in excellent condition. I have been putting penetrating oil ...

Re: Installing seat covers

New Life Canvas says they have them "in stock". I got mine from Midwest Military ,and they fit excellent. I think John gets it his from New Life,so either one would be a good source . Off subject for a moment. I ordered a part from John at Midwest 2 weeks ago and haven't received the part...
